Hi Wanjomanjo, thanks for reaching out. The app includes a test to check if the person has seasonal affective disroder, a timer to set the duration of the light exposure session, the ability to set an alarm and wake up to your chosen color of light (dawn simulator) + sound of birds. A phone or ipad is also more portable than a computer. If you would like a refund, please email me at smappfeedback@gmail.com. Best Wishes, Addy

Hi review whisperer, thanks for reaching out. The photograph shows a white light because you have the choice of choosing the color of your screen by clicking on Dawn Simulator => Alarm (Alarm time) => Color. You can choose white/ blue/ any other color. The ability to choose color was included based on feedback from customers who wanted to experiment with multiple colors. Here is the link to the research paper (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4758137/) that confirms that low intensity blue light (100 Lux) can have the same effects as high intensity white light (10,000 Lux). Most iphones can go well above 500 Lux. If you would like a refund, please email me at smappfeedback@gmail.com. Best Wishes, Addy

Good but needs improvement
Not heard anything back from customer service... Not happy at all, it a shame as it’s got loads of potential. The SAD light is really good so I will keep using it for that purpose.

Hi DCFlulu, Thank you for reaching out. We would love to do this for you, but unfortunately Apple does not let us control your screen to that level i.e. turn it ON from an OFF state and keep it ON :(. One way to reduce the light from the black screen is to reduce the phone brightness to zero when you set the alarm at night. Please get in touch with us at smappfeedback@gmail.com in case you have any further suggestions/ feedback. Best Wishes, Addy Revised Response for the new issue: Thanks DCFlulu for highlighting this issue to us. We are working with the development team to resolve this issue. Thanks for your patience, Take Care, Addy App updated to fix the bug, thank you for your patience. Best Wishes, Addy
Not getting full app
Response from developer
Hi Lisawisabisa, Thanks for reaching out. A no. of our customers requested us to limit the functionality of the app to the only color backed by research, hence we removed the ability to choose between different colors in a recent update. We would love to understand your usage of the App and would be happy to grant you access to a version which still lets you change color if you write to us at smappfeedback@gmail.com Best Wishes, Addy

Hi skippy05, Thanks for reaching out. We apologise for your unfavourable experience in using the app. Research from US National Library of Medicine confirming how low intensity blue light (100 Lux) and can have the same effect as high intensity white light (10,000 Lux) in sub-syndromal SAD can be found here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4758137/ Hence, although simple, some people find this useful. Please contact us at smappfeedback@gmail.com so that we can address your concerns/ provide steps re obtaining a refund. Best Wishes, Addy
Love the Dawn Simulator ❤️🌞❤️
Really simple and useful for the dark winter months 🌅
Initially it took some patience as just staring at a blue screen can be boring (and frustrating!) - but the new upgrade enables me to play the radio in the background 📻 🎵. The trick is to stay with for a few days before you start feeling the difference. All the best 🤘🏻🌞
Don’t waste your money!
