Trying to scan product
As I’m trying to scan the product of the food or treat, the barcode is not scanning and it’s not giving me any type of information
Recalls Only
.99 cent monthly App with a supposed 7-day trial. It is supposed to do so much more, and only tells you whether a treat was recalled. I thought it would tell you how safe it was, note certain ingredients, and ratings. I can find recalls doing an online search; this App is without merit. There was no 7-day trial. Offloaded the same day it charged me .99. Don’t waste your time or money.

Love this app, but…
This app is fantastic for reviewing your choices of dog food and treats. My issue is the scanner. It used to work most of the time, and now it barely ever works. I do not have an old phone, so that is not the issue.
Used to Love
I used to love this app. But all of a sudden my scanner stopped working. I have been trying to get in touch with the company for months and I never get a response even though my subscription is up-to-date and paid. Frustrated
Poor Scanner and Search Quality
When I could get it to actually scan, it was helpful but scanner worked 2/10 and search rendered nothing

It’s difficult to purchase products for pets when they hide dangerous ingredients in their period this app has been a lifesaver! I am a certified behavior expert and we recommended often to our clients.
Not a lot of information
This is not a user-friendly app it was not even worth the $.99 a month. I scanned a lot of the items that I scanned there was no information on ingredients was available. I would not recommend.
Hardly Any Reviews
I just started using the app. Out of all the things I scanned so far, about 10 maybe, only 3-4 had an update. No review on food quality for the rest I scanned which was pretty disappointing considering I have to pay for the app after 1 week of use.
Also, it might be good to add a feature that allows me to see the items I’ve already scanned. Similar to the Yuka app I currently use for food and cosmetics. It allows me to scan quality and saves all previously scanned items for me to view later. If the product I’ve scanned does not pass Yuka’s quality check it also provides me with similar products that do pass the quality check.

Waste of money
App does not work at all. Scanning features and search features do not work.
Doesn’t work
App makes you pick a subscription plan to even try it out. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and went ahead and did it. But upon entry, it doesn’t even work.

Tried using scanner on Royal Canin Cat food, nothing happened.

I already lost one of my 3 babies because I used to feed him dry kibble. Thanks to SAFE PET TREATS I now cook for my two golden retrievers real healthy food! They are happy babies! Thank you guys!

Not functional
It’s very frustrating and hard to get the barcode scanner to work. Using the search feature doesn’t work at all, once filling in the fields and hitting search, nothing happens. The few brands I could manage to scan were not even available in their database. I live in Canada and it seems it doesn’t have any Canadian brands. Disappointed. I thought it’d be similar to Yuka, the app for human products buts it’s not even near as close as useful. Not sure why other reviews like an app that doesn’t work.

The scanner doesn’t work 98% of the time
I subscribed to this app because it was so recommended on different sites. My dog is allergic to so much so I thought it would help in finding better food and treats. It may if it would actually scan a bar code! I have a new iPhone so no outdated phone. I don’t recommend this app!
Cant cancel my free trial anywhere!
This app does not have any of the foods I use. Cannot tell if they're good or bad scanner works sporadically an app often hangs.
Tried going to my account to cancel my free trial, but there is no place to go to my account. I'm gonna call this a scam for a monthly charge.

Needs work
They don’t have milk bone in there database, how can you not have one of the most popular brands? Also the scanner is super glitchy it takes forever for it to MAYBE work, definitely not worth spending money on. Even if it was free I wouldn’t use it, truly fast just to google the products.
Doesn’t scan
Download app would not scan - closed it and tried several times - deleted app and reloaded - I have a Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max - software current - would not scan barcode - friend has iPhone XR and she was able scan with app completely useless -
will not let me cancel subscription
i can not cancel my subscription i do not want to pay for it after the 7 day trial i do NOT have the money and can’t figure it out nowhere online does it tell me and my email is not being answered and the app doesn’t even work and is HIGHLY confusing all it did when i looked up a good i was thinking about buying was give me a recall alert of a different food
