I love love love this app wonderful resource but this does not replace good education for a midwife.

If you we're living in a third world country with no other advice this would be a great app. You probably wouldn't have a smart phone though. Of all the app for pregnancy in the itunes store, this one is the worst. Giving medical advice to unqualified people and limited . Go look for another one. Any of them would be better than this.

Very concerning
If this is indeed an app for people who are in remote settings with little to no institutional back up available, the information offered herein is extremely concerning. This app is clearly based on a clinical obstetric model of care, and to advise people to apply that in a situation where there may be no clinics and no obstetricians is not only negligent, but stupid bordering on culpable. I am highly concerned by some of the information I have read in this app, and while the intention is noble, I can certainly see its practical application leading to dangerous, unnecessary and inept interventions. Needs a serious information review - perhaps with some input from people who really HAVE worked in this field, this time??
