About
The primary goal of this dissertation study is to find if a specific multiplanar balance training home-based exercise program with electronic assistance is effective in reducing one’s fall risk category compared to the usual care model. This secondary outcome of this study is to indicate the adherence and feasibility of this program, as these are mediating factors in a program’s efficacy. Additionally, this study will investigate if this program has an impact on one’s quality of life, fear of falls, and balance performance. This program intends to provide an effective wellness and maintenance model for community-dwelling individuals 65 years of age and older who may be at risk for falls but do not receive a formal falls prevention intervention.
