It asks you to check in regularly, to confirm you're OK. If you don't check in, it will alert people you've designated. How it works: - You check in every day, by pressing a button - You get notifications to remind you - You designate one or more people who will be alerted, should you fail to check in - Alerts go out even if your phone is offline or damaged - they're sent from the cloud. What it costs: - The app is free to use in these first months after our launch. - Later on, a low-cost annual subscription will be required. Who would use this? - People living alone with pets, who want to be sure their furry friends will always be looked after. - University students living away from home, who want to give family members confidence that they're OK, without constant texting or location tracking. - Solo travelers, who similarly want to reassure their people that they are OK. - People who've moved to a new place for work.
