About
Plan with context, not panic.
Safe Traveling combines travel-planning tools with clearly labeled demonstration safety data. Version 1.0 uses Preview Data for city scores, alerts, risk areas, and route comparisons; it does not provide a live safety feed or a current assessment of your surroundings. Apple maps, place search, and directions support your trip planning, and private Safety Notes stay on your device.
Use Safe Traveling to:
- Explore preview city context on an interactive map.
- Understand how demonstration planning scores are explained.
- Compare preview route options and review their example scoring factors.
- Explore example travel notices labeled as mock data.
- Save broad places such as a hotel area, station, school, or office.
- Keep private Safety Notes that remain on your device.
- Explore mapped public places and recommended local apps for trip planning.
Preview scores, confidence indicators, and notices are examples, not verified current conditions. Use official local guidance for decisions about your safety.
Home and Map can use your approximate location, when you choose, to center the map and select travel-planning context. Open route directions in Apple Maps when you are ready to travel.
Safe Traveling is not an emergency service. It does not offer emergency calling or an emergency-number directory, send distress messages or location to responders, dispatch help, or publish community reports. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services directly.
