No naropin in left over
There’s no naropin on the final left over medication list… also doesn’t tell you when you’re overdosing medications. No updates on this app for over 5 years…
I don’t trust this app
I should make an app myself. This is very inaccurate.
Incomplete
Locals should be additive. Beware overdosing. Also, needs more local anesthetic concentrations. There’s no lidocaine 2%. Also the app only calculates the leftover bupibicaine for the surgeon as 0.25 %. Half percent isn’t calculated.
Has potential
This could be so useful if they changed a few things around. Add in the hard stops and correct additive formulas
Dental anesthesia
As a dentist I would like to see articaine and prilocaine reviewed also.
Add 0.5% bupivacaine
Need to add 0.5% for surgeons preference at end. Only lists 0.25%, so I’ve been halving the remaining total listed.
Needs to be fixed
This is a great and much needed app. However, it has one major flaw: the lb vs kg screen. It should just use one of them for everybody.
Because of that screen, which I thought I had set to lbs, I overdosed a patient. Thankfully nothing bad happened.
I cannot in good conscience give more than one star to the app, as ling as that screen is not fixed. Local anesthetic systemic toxicity is a killer.
Many thanks to both authors. Your work is highly appreciated.

Would be 5/5 but
The app doesn’t take into account the hard stop maximums for dosing. Ex: bupivacaine not to exceed 175 mg no matter their weight, or any other local anesthetic, the app does not inform you if you are given a volume over safe dosing limits. Since the whole purpose of the app is to inform you of appropriate safe dosing limits, this really should be addressed or have a notification when above hard stop dosages.

Incorrect Mixed Dose Calculations
The app is great in theory, but when you are mixing locals the max should be additive, which is not the way it shows up when you select 2 different locals. For example, in a 70kg pt your max of 0.5% bupiv is 35cc, and with 1% Lido your max is also 35cc, but when using both, your MAX is still 35cc. The app gives the impression that you can give 70cc when using this combo (stating 35cc each), which is not correct.

Update to support dark mode
Please support dark mode in iOS. When the phone is in dark mode, all the clickable text and entered text appears white on a white background (I.e invisible).
Doesn't work on iPhone dark display setting
Type disappears in iPhone "dark" display setting- unusable. Works fine in "light" display. Otherwise a great app
Change the color of the text!
Text is in white, making it very difficult to read. Otherwise, this is a fantastic resource. Please fix above immediately!!
Text in white...
Text is in white unable to see what I’m typing. Please fix! Hoping this will be a great tool for school!
Unable to view text
Text is in white so you can see what you are inputting
Difficult to use because of this
Difficult to use because of this
Good in principle
When I input data it seems to come out white (on a white background) and therefore invisible. Means I can’t tell which box I’ve ticked or whether I’ve entered the correct weight etc.
dark mode broken
latest update makes disappear in dark mode. otherwise 5 stars
Exparel
Great app!! Please add exparel!!
Easy to use at bedside, crucial info at right time
Really fills a clinical need, few of us have time to do calculations in busy block rooms or in OR, office locations where large volumes of mixed of often used. Super easy to use
Exparel?
Can you add exparel?
Great app. Pleas include mg totals
