Wildfire tracking, fixed • Fire perimeters and satellite hotspot detection work again nationwide — an upstream query bug had been silently blanking both layers. • Named CAL FIRE / NIFC incidents now appear on the map with fire name, acreage and containment. • Containment ("65% contained") now shows in Recent Activity and fire detail. • One fire = one entry: duplicate activity rows and repeat wildfire notifications are gone. Alerts you can trust • A contained fire no longer holds the home screen in "Active Alert" — and a standing evacuation order always takes priority. • Opening the app no longer replays a stale alert from your last session. • Monitored areas only surface alerts inside your alert radius, with distance measured from the area you're watching, not your phone. • "View on Map" now lands on the right alert. Notifications • Three gentler alert sounds — Gentle Chime, Soft Bells, Calm Pulse — plus a spoken earthquake alert ("Drop, cover, and hold on"). • New installs start with hazards, radius and quiet hours (10 PM–6 AM) matched to your local risk profile. Life-safety alerts still come through during quiet hours. Maps & Prepare • Redesigned map legend: a scrollable sheet with plain-English explanations for every symbol, evacuation status and AQI band. • Home Hardening, Critical Documents, Emergency Contacts and Emergency Plan restyled to match Emergency Kit — and "Selected Disasters" is now tappable to tailor your packing list. • Preparedness score now matches between Home and Prepare, with a clear "N of M items ready". • Fixed hurricane and tropical depression rendering and refresh. Speed & reliability • Dashboard, map and risk screens no longer hang when a government data source is slow or down — every source now has a timeout and layers load in parallel. • Fixed the map going black after repeatedly opening fire details; offline map previews now say "Map unavailable" instead of spinning forever.
