Doesn’t allow signup.
Garbage app, doesn’t allow sign up. Just stalls and hangs when attempting to sign up. Deleted.

I have been waiting very patiently for developers to update the application as was having push notification issues.Well done guys look forward to using Safeswiss again as security in these times is a big deal.

No notifications
How can you use this? This app will not notify you about any incoming calls and messages, despite the notification is allowed. This bug make it completely useless.

We have just released a new version with updated push notification, One of our developers went AWOL and changed our password and login preventing us access to rectify. Apologies we value all our users feedback.

The app has great potential but lacks of AES 256 bit ATLEAST. They do not disclose details of encryption they use

The asymmetric keys used in SafeSwiss have a length of 256 bits, and their effective ECC strength is 255 bits. The shared secrets, which are used as symmetric keys for end-to-end message encryption (derived from the sender’s private key and the recipient’s public key using ECDH, and combined with a 192 bit nonce), have a length of 256 bits. The random symmetric keys used for media encryption are also 256 bits long. The message authentication code (MAC) that is added to each message to detect tampering and forgery has a length of 128 bits.
Glitches, no independent audit
Overall this app is a great concept.
One thing that concerns me is no reference at all online to any 3rd party auditing the code, confirming the security of this app. Hardly any secure communication app sites even refer to this app.
However this app has some great features.
I have noticed the following:
1. At least once a day the login screen randomly appears.
It makes it seem like my login information is wrong. When I shut down the app and restart the app I can use it normally. Is it possible to fix this?
2. Backup: could backup files be shared by another means? Could it simply be “opened in” another app of our choice?
3. Accidental phone calls. Every time I go to share someone’s user name, by default I and many others tap the contacts user name imagining options will come up allowing me to share it. However this just unintentionally calls the contact. Is it possible to change this? Every user I have met has he same issue.
4. After tapping and holding on a message the option to “forward, copy, delete etc” appears. The problem is this only sometimes appears. Often these options do not appear.
5. Self destruct: I love this feature but often while the message content is deleted, the empty speech bubbles remain indicating a conversation took place.
6. Often a significant delay between the new message alert and actually receiving the message. Occasionally it doesn’t arrive.
7. Sometimes a message shows as read when the contact has never received it.

Messages not delivered
App is a great idea up but noticed I was getting notifications of new messages that a mate sent me, but they did not come though. Has now happened three times in less than two hours.

I have been using SafeSwiss for while now it's easily the best messenger I have used the secure voice is very clear. The UI is exceptional and very simple. It provides me with reassurance that everything is end to end encrypted.

Love this messanger
Really love it, first of all because of its flexebility. Did not see any client with so many customizing options before, while that is actually what I need. Looking forward for next updates and surprises.
