A blast!

Okay so the first game is a blast and the 2nd added a lot of improvements and is much much longer. Unfortunately the sequel is bloated with just absolutely unheard of difficulty spikes that require heavy grinding. You will have to grind for hours, yes, HOURS to farm enough gold to advance the story. Because of this, it is a very long game. But it’s free and it works on airplane mode. The ads are wild. You will be saving your progress a lot because overleveling to beat your enemies is not a viable strategy and when you die you lose a HUGE amount of gold. It’s a great concept. The first was a perfect proof of concept.

Doesn’t Load

I realize it’s an older game but came up in the App Store as something I would like. No longer valid but still available to download?

Great Old School RPG

Love the old school, 2D style of gameplay. I’m old enough I go back to the very beginning of computer games…. Only knock would be to request addition of another element to the game. Perhaps puzzles to solve? Have thoroughly enjoyed playing! Would love to see a version III!

Great sequel

Don’t know what happened to the developer, but this game deserves to be a trilogy! The first game seemed a “proof of concept” idea that borrowed from JRPG’s like Dragon Warrior. The sequel expands on that with new areas and plenty of references to the first game. It’s a very old school type of rpg, and I had a lot of fun with it!

Sad

Game doesn’t save progress properly, most like 45 minutes of progress.

gg dev

even the game is old but it better than an fake ads mobile game

Fantastic game

Just finished the game after a few weeks, very satisfied yet sad at the same time because I love this game

Great game

Tons of fun. Super retro. Lots of grinding (which I happen to enjoy) but it just makes it more satisfying when you actually make progress. I kept thinking it would end and was positively surprised when that wasn’t the case. Would recommend.

Old school awesome

Great game just like I remember them! Love most everything about this game, I’ve accidentally got rid of so many potions twice because the controls are all to small and close together- didn’t even know I dumped them until I was well traveled and needed them -the ad right above the up button - cmon lol - but good game thanks

Good in some ways bad in others

I really liked the first saga RPG though it was a little short and was missing a couple of things like chests and names for the towns, but the second one fixed everything longer more swords and armour though I’m not gonna lie I swear armour and shields do nothing there’s times I get better armour and I swear it doesn’t increase my defense, same goes with shields but the game fixed everything except one thing, grinding in my opinion there was too bad grinding in the first one, but the second there is so much grinding to get to a higher level that’s its boring, since the enemies are stupidly stronger than you almost everywhere like I was level 12 and level 7-8 enemies were killing me that’s kinda dumb, I wish they would make a 3rd game and fix that, I wish they would make one more to make a trilogy and fix all the issues overall I’ll give it a 4 outta five please hopefully you will make one more and fix the issues.

Maravilhoso

Único problema é não é em português, não consegui entender muito bem o contexto, mas eu consegui fazer as missões, parabéns pelo jogo.

Too much grinding to make too little progress.

In comparison to the first saga rpg i find this sequel to be considerably less fun. The draw of the first game for me was the constant feeling of progress throughout the game. In saga rpg 2 you are required constantly grind in order to progress without the need of good luck in combat encounters. What really makes this a problem is the way the game reduces the exp and gold you receive from lower level enemies, forcing you to either grind weak enemies for a long time or try you luck with enemies you can only survive a few encounters with.

Great game and great story following the firs saga

Great job guys. Amazing game all together. I loved the first one even though it was short but you definitely heard all our comments and this second one was awesome. There are 3 main story lines that follow one another and each one more challenging and fun then the other. The characters in the game are much stronger this time even though sometimes I feel that they didn’t need to be that strong but it pushes you to go with the story and to the next progression instead of keep grinding. Sometime you have to grind a lot to level up though but still worth the effort. Loved it all together so keep up with the good work

Actually the best game ever

Me and my friends James and Edward play this game all the time it is a blast

I enjoy this series

I quite enjoyed the first RPG Saga game, and went on to play the 2nd. I think it’s taken at least twice as long to finish, which is both good, but also annoying since it’s a bit harder to progress and drags on a little bit.
I actually haven’t quite finished yet, but finally reached the legendary items, but didn’t realize you can only access the room once before the door disappears... and I only took one :/ I wanted to visit the reviews in case there was a solution to this instead of restarting.
Anyways...

I like the game is longer, but it feels like it’s lost some quality.

Love it

Goes to prove that you dont need amazing graphics to have fun

Fun RPG reminiscent of 1st Dragon Warrior!

Fun grinding Role playing game. Difficulty ramps up to make it a bit grindy, but still easy to pick up and play like a mobile game should be.
Basic attack only. No spells or abilities.
Explore. Hit up towns for gear and items. I’d definitely play a sequel that expands the gameplay.
On the right track, but needs more to be a really good RPG. Looking forward to more.

Great retro rpg

Fun and simple rpg reminiscent of the old 8-bits on NES. I thought it was going to be short but the story unfolds into a lengthy adventure with complex maps and good variety. Definitely worth an avid rpg'ers time!

Great sequel, one story issue

Graphics: Great retro style! It might be interesting for the character's sword or apparel to change slightly in a future game when equipping with new weapons.

Audio: N/A The lack of music didn't bother me at all, but I do really enjoy the original Nintendo-style music. This could be a neat touch in a future game (although of course you don't want to lose the unique feel)

Story: I loved the story elements (Especially the throwback to the dragon at the lake! That was hilarious!) There was continuity with the first story, with several fun throwbacks. The only thing that threw me was that everyone was begging to be rescued from the skeleton king... But that wasn't the last bad guy. That had me confused for a while

Other: The addition of a map to show where you had been was very helpful, due to the larger areas. The three-chapter length was good. The ability to wander around the world after beating the game is extra fun! One last suggestion would be allowing the player to save a few different games. (That way you could start a new game without losing your finished game)
