Great story Amazing battle system
I decided to try the SaGa series as I’m a long time Final Fantasy and Mana fan. I was recommended that Scarlet Grace is a good entry point as it has a tutorial system to explain the game mechanics. The battle system is alot different than I’m used to and took a few hours to really get the hang of, but once it all started making sense I was hooked. Recommend for more experienced RPG players who want more of a challenge than the average turn based JRPG. Very satisfying non linear game. If you give it a chance and have some time to really work out proper strategic battle planning it becomes addictive. Highly recommended (for more advanced RPG players)

Secret to quitting fake games / p2w games
What a wonderful game that made me disregard the daily giveaways from p2w / p2normal / pay and pay / fake games. I was wondering why there aren't much reviews for saga scarlet. I suspect everyone is busy grinding skills or enjoying the combat or ng+. There are 4 different POV / characters which kinda aligns with how much hand-holding you would like. Challenging game mechanics, good graphics, and does not take up more and more space every month. Probably the best of the saga glimmeringbulb series for me in terms of graphics and replayability. This is probably the only rpg in the entire world where the poison, guard, and mage role makes any sense.

Best game EVER!
I have gotten more enjoyment out of this game than any other that I have ever played. I’ve played a few. GameStop manager for almost a decade, so I have other games to compare it to. I put it down for a bit, but always pick it back up. Multiple characters to play through as. So much to do! Can not wait for the sequel, Saga Emerald Beyond releasing April 25!!

Try not to laugh or cry
Honestly this game will make you forget your problems with how people fall down like pro wrestlers selling bumps, or the lazy motions for cutscene (and dungeons) approach in a popup book, which I feel works better on iPad limitations, than consoles. The united attacks and attacking enemies based on turn order helps, as well as formations. Fun try while on sale, though it helps to see this as a visual novel with a battle system (with funny theatrics like lay down for brusque slice) over a full-fledged RPG. The game does explain things though the star points (limit moves until you can afford for the team) and glimmers (learn mid battle via a lightbulb saga style) are fun to discover. However, the difficulty spikes, mage charge attacks while only one gets to absorb to boost skills, and life points recover way too slowly with no inns (you swap a character out of 2-3 battles). I did like the interrupts, but enemies that aren’t killed can attack anyway, so it kinda defeats the point if you can’t kill an enemy in one turn. However, it does help to set up the momentum formation to get more stars with every kill by the front row (switch formation if only 1-2 enemies but this and party swap can’t be done mid-battle), and snipe for easy battles by searching everywhere for an event, to get discounted skills/magic for more actions. Unfortunately, using your personal favorite formation/role (some characters have better than others for passive support abilities) and just playing to explore (ie don’t do normal/hard rated battles last) just isn’t viable. You do have some character diversity though unfortunately can’t skip repetitive mines dialogue (battle for half ore, get cheated and keep escalating your share).

The worst game ever made by Square
You can go back to easier difficult place to train and when you land on an island with high difficult, some important teammates are dead, you are screwed! Please restart the game from last far far away saving point. Most stupid game ever
Crashes
This game has crashed on me three times already, causing me to lose progress.

This is the best combat system I have ever played! Simply stunning.
모바일에서 이정도면
전투방식도 신선하고 재미있고 다양한 스토리 전개방식이 좋았음. 폰에서 하기엔 텍스트가 너무 작어서 불편하지만 오래 즐길만한 게임임.
The game crashes all the time.
Hi,
I am playing the game on iPad Air. It is slow and crashes every 15 mins play time. Sometimes, it crashed during boss fights or the long battle with no back up saves. Please have it fixed.
This is a really good game :)
Always a fan of Squaresoft, Enix and now Square-Enix.
Thanks!

This is one of the best rpgs out there. Thankfully it's on iOS now
The Antidote to F2P RPGs
The battle system in this game really shines — you can start by just spamming attacks, but you will need to read all the tips to get the most out of the timeline, counters, attributes, roles, etc. Being a Japanese game, it does not do much hand-holding but expects you to discover much of the nuances yourself which could be aggravating but I find very gratifying.
This is a breath of fresh air compared to F2P titles with anemic battle systems, paywall and gacha mechanics. It’s nice to be enjoying battles as opposed to all the other busy work f2p titles need.
I haven’t see any prompt within the game to review it, which may explain the low number of reviews.

Controller randomly stopped working.
It feels like this broke with a recent update. My mFi controller was working and all of a sudden it stopped. The controller works across multiple other apps for both iPad and iPhone, but not for this app across both devices.
