Race Tracking and Performance Analysis for Dinghy Sailors. Sailchart is a race sail tracking app and website designed to help dinghy sailors improve their performance and enjoyment of sail racing. With live playback of races and comprehensive post-race analysis features, Sailchart has been designed by sailors for sailors. The Sailchart app is used whilst sailing to collect data about the boat’s position, speed and course to provide both live and post-race playback of the race via the app or website and detailed analysis using the Sailchart website dashboard. Key Features of Sailchart include: • Comprehensive post-race analysis on the Sailchart website provides detailed comparison of key metrics including leg times, speed made good, tacking angles and speed loss over the tacks. • Charting of boat performance over time. • The race viewer can combine multiple races into one consolidated view, allowing spectators to view live racing for several races at the same time. • In addition to organised club races, users can create personal races for ad-hoc racing and tuning exercises. • Sailchart can also be used for training sessions where it displays live performance data like VMG and tack performance. Please note that you will need an access code from your sailing club to be able to register an account and track club or personal races. If your club has not enrolled with Sailchart then you can still track a training session.
