About

Marine weather and sailboat routing, simple and clear, for every tack. SailMeteo brings marine weather and sailboat routing together in a fast, readable app built for people who actually go to sea. Wind, gusts, waves, currents: see it all on an interactive map, compare models and plan your passages — even offline, once you're out at sea. === FEATURES === - MARINE WEATHER ON A MAP Wind, gusts, waves, currents, pressure, temperature, cloud cover, precipitation and CAPE, shown on an interactive map with clear wind barbs and readable color rendering. - MULTIPLE MODELS Compare several weather models (GFS, AROME and more) to sharpen your decision. High-resolution models better capture coastal effects such as thermal breezes. - TIME ANIMATION Scrub through forecast steps with a single gesture and loop the forecast to anticipate how the weather evolves hour by hour. - SAILBOAT ROUTING Enter your boat details (polars, motor speed) and let SailMeteo compute a route that accounts for the forecast wind. Perfect for planning a crossing or a day sail. - OFFLINE AT SEA Download an area before you cast off and keep access to the forecast even with no signal once you're offshore. Ideal for areas with no mobile coverage. - BOAT PROFILE Save your sailboat's details and polars, backed up in the cloud, for routing tuned to your own pace. - MARINE WEATHER GUIDES Clear guides to understand the models, read a wind chart, grasp the sea state and thermal breezes, and prepare your crossings. - PERSONALIZATION Choose your units (knots, km/h, Beaufort, meters, feet…), night mode to protect your night vision, local time or UTC, and looping playback of forecast steps. - ACCOUNT AND SYNC Create an account (email, Apple or Google) to find your settings, areas and favorite routes across all your devices and on the web (sailmeteo.fr). Sync is instant. === SAFETY AT SEA === Forecasts and routing are provided for guidance only and do not replace official marine weather bulletins or your own judgment as a sailor. You remain solely responsible for the preparation and safety of your navigation. === YOUR DATA, RESPECTED === - GDPR compliant - Data synced securely - No resale to third parties - Full account deletion in one tap, right inside the app === FREE === SailMeteo is free, supported by discreet advertising. A consent dialog lets you choose your ad preferences at any time. === FAIR WINDS === Because every trip deserves solid weather planning. What's New in SailMeteo

1.1.0

August 27, 2026

New: SailScore, to pick your anchorage. • Tap a point on the map: SailMeteo rates how comfortable it would be at anchor, from the wind and the swell — and above all from the land that shelters it. An anchorage tucked under the windward shore stays flat where its neighbour, open to the sea, becomes untenable. • The score is explained, never just asserted: wind speed and direction, the stretch of open water upwind (the fetch) and the chop it raises, how much of the offshore swell actually reaches the point, and the resulting sea. • A curve shows how it evolves across the whole forecast: drag along it to move through the hours and find the night that holds. • GPX export of the route you are following, straight from the Navigation menu. • New "Boat on the route" target: the readings at the top of the screen follow the boat along the route as time advances, instead of a fixed point on screen. • Routing models (wind, waves, current) are now remembered. • Fixes: areas and settings sometimes missing at launch when the network was slow to answer, routing map framed on the whole trip, "Swap" button, and a more readable computation animation. Fair winds!
