SailorSim 2.0: a big free update. OPTIMISED FOR IPHONE DUO - Open in landscape: a full iPad-style view, with the sails on one side and the engine and helm on the other. - Open in portrait: split-screen helm station. - Closed: controls rearranged so nothing is covered or cut off. NEW i HELP BUTTON - Yellow button in the top bar: explains every icon and control, and reminds you that you can change the wind and sea state at any time. - Expanded manual with a new "Heavy weather and damage" chapter. IMPROVED GRAPHICS - Salou coast on real terrain: sandy beaches, cliffs and the coves of Cap de Salou, in a comic style. - Renewed Salou harbour: Club Nàutic, breakwater, beach huts, palm trees and moored sailing boats, motorboats and yachts. - More detailed yacht: white hull with stripes, swim platform with ladder, steel pulpit and pushpit, sprayhood and mainsail cover. - Mahón entrance: layered rock, La Mola fortress, the Lazaretto, the Illa del Rei hospital and Sant Felip castle. MORE REALISTIC SAILING - Sea state: calm, slight, moderate, rough or very rough. Take the waves on the bow quarter: head-on you pound, on the beam a breaking sea can hit you, and on the quarter the boat broaches. - Gusts and knockdowns: with too much sail the boat lies over. Ease the sheets to bring her up, and reef in time. - Breaking seas, a very rare capsize and dismasting: recover the rigging, watch the propeller, and call PAN-PAN or MAYDAY. - Throttle with an S position (full speed) and a clear "clunk" when you reach neutral. - Visible anchoring with chain and anchor buoy, and swinging when the wind veers. - Exact contact with quays, pontoons and moored boats: only the hull actually touching counts. - Tap the bollard to cast off; in Mahón the boat now lies properly alongside the pontoon. - "Salou and its coves" now starts under power off Platja de Llevant. Also: change language without restarting the game, a clearer mooring button and many small improvements. Free, no ads, no sign-up.
