But if there is something you want to get corrected, or to understand why it is that way, just email our developers at info@SailTimer.co for a prompt reply. For sailors, this is the only app in the world that accounts for tacking distances when calculating your optimal tacks and Tacking Time to Destination. It was also the first app to include polar plot learning, for better projections of your unique boat's speed on all points of sail. We have recently been focusing on adding features to the crowdsourced wind map animation (another first), and weather animations. We appreciate feedback, and will add it to our ongoing list for updates. There have been 3 updates so far in 2025. With version 6 the interface and features are becoming consistent across all platforms.

But I’m more likely to say - ripped it out and threw it away !!

Very Disappointed
I am very disappointed in the APP also. After all my troubles with the hardware, I can’t get the APP to do what is promised.
When I launch the APP, I often can’t get the maps to load. When they do, I do not get a ground speed read out. I have been unable for the polar plot to “learn”. Positioning on my boat is critical to get the app to connect to the vane.
I can’t figure out how to get the app to go from present position to a way point.
I have spent hundreds of dollars and messed with several vanes over several years and still have not been able to get a fully functioning product.
I must say, that even though tech/customer support has sometimes been a tad rough on me, they have always supported their product.

(As later determined, your email form was never sent in, but we do provide prompt 24/7 support to sailors worldwide.) Although you did not update your original comment above, we trust that things are better now now, and appreciate this explanation you sent in on August 7 2019: “The wind instrument is atop my mast and being used. Your software is good and when the instrument is connected the overall system is very useful.”
