Saints

There are beautiful descriptions of several saints but I was hoping to get a more comprehensive list of daily Saints. The app is missing quite a few like, St. Francis of Assisi Feast Day on Oct. 4. Iโ€™d appreciate more saints. I know there are many on each day!

Great App with background of some of the Saints

Great idea for the App. Love the Patronage part.

Still needs a lot of content with many more saints. Saint Francis of Assisi (My Saint) is missing. But love the idea !!! Thanks !!!

Cheesy rhyming poem prayers

The historical information about the saints is very good, but whoever wrote the poems to ask the saints to pray for us seems to make a mockery of the whole idea. They are corny and not sincere in any way. This would be a much better app if the poems were removed. Until then, I wonโ€™t use this app.

Lovely and timely app

Beautiful design, clear, informative stories of the saints, and prayers with contemporary relevance and a sense of humor. We all need more of these things - now more than ever. This is one app I'm always delighted and grateful to recieve a notification from.

Atrocious, Profane, Anti-Catholic

Imagine my horror when I opened up this putatively Catholic app to check out the feast day of St Rose of Lima. The revered Peruvian lady who was known for her humility and piety is depicted as a bizarre Kim Kardashian type, whose "prayer" opens with this:

O Blessed St Rose,
Each day I pray,
That I choose the right clothes,
And the finest hair spray.

Then it goes on to cite women's fashion mags, like Vogue and Glamour. My jaw dropped, and I am sure I am not alone.

I wonder if the artist, developer, and funders behind this app would do the same for any Muslim religious figure. Methinks, not. Somehow they think Catholicism can bear the brunt of being modernised to the point of profanity. Add my voice to those who demand of Apple to remove this insulting app from the iTunes Store.

Not particularly Catholic

I am a pretty modern Catholic, but I didn't find anything in this app inspiring. I'm wondering if the artist is not Catholic and simply chose saints randomly as subject matter. Saint Rose of Lima, for example, is depicted as a beautiful, vain woman when the example she sets for us is about letting go of her earthly vanity. It would be an interesting app for non-Catholics who like contemporary illustration.

Good app

Easy to share and works on my iPad too

Where the saints at?

I wish there were more Saints on the app... But for being free, it's great! I would pay for more! Great stories!

Good app

Great information in an easy access format that includes the life stories and prayers of each particular saint.

Great idea

Wonderful to see saints reimagined in this way. Brings it to a whole new audience. Family friendly and definitely recommended.

On fence but love it now

Wasn't sure at the start, but it has really started to grow on me

good app

very beautiful graphics and contents of a successful application

Very nice BUT....

Very nice, well written app BUT so VERY FEW Saints represented. Ashamed so few listed or this would a 5 star app.

Wonderfully produced and thought provoking

Beautiful and useful for prayer and meditation. The art is both gorgeous and thought provoking. The same can be said of the prayers, which are both heartfelt and humorous, reminding us of the fragility of those whose closeness to the divine does not separate them from the messiness of life.

Very Few Saints Represented

I was looking for apps to encourage my 8th grade CCD students to begin researching their Saint names for Confirmation. This app is lacking at best and at least visually misleading... Downloaded and deleted within 10 minutes...

Ok, but many Saints are missing!

There are many saints by name missing such as well known St. Therese of lisieux, St. Rita, and even any saint listed for certain common patronages like for military or soldiers.

Fun!

Lovely original art work incorporated into a clean and easy to use app. If you've ever wondered "Is there a saint for that?" This is the app for you... You can even write your own prayer and share it with friends.

I Love It

Three things missing that keep me from giving it a five:
1. Needs music to set the mood
2. Needs an option to mark off favorite saints
3. Needs option to burn candles
The artwork is beautiful and prayers are unique. Another reason to want musical and candle options. Well worth it to me otherwise.๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’
