Second Scam Built By Dev
This developer previously raised over $1M for a crypto project (Saku Monsters), promising in game tokens / currency, only to abandon the project and go silent for over a year. He then resurfaced with Sakumon, raised hundreds of thousands of dollars more via Kickstarter, and delivered an unpolished, unfinished game with cheap toys.
There have been no updates since launch. Anyone who asks reasonable questions on Discord about the abandoned first project gets instantly banned, locking them out of future updates. Dozens of users have been banned for asking for accountability. Do not waste your money on these toys or this game….this pattern keeps repeating.

Cool idea, hope to see more
Can you only get more creatures by buying them with real money? I saw there are figures of creatures you can buy, which is a cute idea that reminds me of U.B. Funkeys. Many older devices don't have NFC reader on them though, so this could be a barrier for potential players.
The visuals are nice and I like the avatars and creature designs so far, and the design for the Narrator in the battle arena is cute.
I review with the understanding that this game is still in development.
It's pretty laggy and loading screens take a while, it seems to have trouble connecting and usually needs to use all 5 attempts to connect.
There isn't any sound in the battle arena and the camera angle was blocking my view of the opponent's creature. It also went on for a little too long while we chipped away at each other in silence.
I couldn't enter or do anything with my house. The only item I can craft is a bed but there's no cloth around to craft it and it doesn't seem like I'd be able to put it in my house anyway. I assume I can get this from the Treasure Ruins but I went in and it was pretty empty, all I found was a piece of wood and a rope and I'm assuming this can only be played once per day. I looked in the Material Store but they didn't have any cloth, and the fourth column of items is partially cut off. I don't know how to get more recipes and it seems I can't build the bed.
I pet my creature but it doesn't seem to do anything. I also checked out the little fish shop stand on the pier but it was empty.
I tried the game in the multiplayer area, the one in the black and orange building (the game and building don't seem to have a name) but I didn't understand the objective and there were no instructions.
I tried the cave game in the multiplayer area and it's okay.
I played Saku Speedway against bots and it's okay too. Hopefully more power-ups are introduced and some differently shaped simple tracks.

I'm very hopeful this game can take off, I only learned about it by browsing the app store and trying it out not knowing it was a toys to game kind of game, which I'm a sucker for. Lack of things to do
The game has a lot of potential but rn there is pretty much nothing to do, there’s a couple mini games but that’s it. The only thing that makes this game interesting rn is that you can scan your physical sakumon in but there’s nothing you can really do with them in game, I’m leaving a 5 star rn because it’s in early development and I’m excited to see what they add next but for what it is rn I’m a lil disappointed

Just getting started - but excited to see where they take it!
I had no issues scanning my 3 Sakumon - it’s like tapping a credit card to your phone if you’ve ever done that. The game is bare bones right now as another reviewer said but the development team are excited to keep pushing updates - and I’m excited to keep getting them!
Boring as heck
Boring wasted my money getting 3 of them nothing to do at all no catching any extra ones no exploring and battling people literally just three islands and nothing to do on them
AMAZING GAME
Super cute figures that you just need a quick tap from the phone and you’re all set to go! So many games and such a nice community. Highly recommend.
Bare bones but interesting
Right now im having trouble scanning anything in and the controls are a little annoying to get used to. Graphics and dialogue are basic and a little bland. Hoping it won’t be just another AC clone and will have some fun things to offer. For now though, the toys I bought are going to sit on my shelf.

Just got my little toys in and started playing. I love the concept and excited for the future.
Sakumon figured won’t scan.

Sorry to hear that! If you haven’t already, try removing your phone case and scanning from a few different angles.
