No reporters and u want me to pay for this rag if a subscription. You say u have in depth news on the local issues; you have none. Don’t subscribe to this paper as they have no reporters and you can find all the crap they have elsewhere
New app
I just am not happy with this new format. It’s difficult to find the current news, I don’t want old news. Trying to navigate it all I get is news that is days old. I want the old app back. It stopped working yesterday.

Just another completely biased view on local events. Disappointing. They used to be impartial.

Good coverage
I no longer live in Salinas but find it important to stay in touch. I think the Californian does a fine job of covering local and regional news.

Great local news
If you are looking for a newspaper app that provides spot on local news coverage then this is the app for you. It is easy to use and the articles are well written. I only wish the app would rotate so I could make the fonts larger. Otherwise I have no problems using it. Since I no longer get a paper newspaper this really meets my needs. I recommend others trying it.

This is different. Digital news has hurt news print, but The Californian is doing a good job of helping their readers transition from the old way to the new. Also, it allows to get timely local news. Thanks!
