About
Salis is built for fast, uncomplicated typing in Arabic and English.
Swipe to switch: swipe left or right on the space bar to jump between Arabic and English instantly, with no menus and no globe key.
A trackpad like the system keyboard: press and hold the space bar and move your finger to place the cursor precisely, across letters and between lines.
Suggestions that understand Arabic: word completion and hamza correction (احمد → أحمد) from the built-in iOS dictionary, plus your own frequent words and phrases, all on your device.
Clipboard history: the last 30 texts you copied in one place, pin the important ones, paste with one tap.
Apple's own layout: the same key order as the iOS Arabic keyboard, with the extra letters (أ إ آ ؤ ئ) on long press. Western digits (123) by default because most apps do not accept ١٢٣, with a switch to change that.
Also: an emoji panel, your iOS Text Replacement shortcuts, Shift and Caps Lock, word deletion on long press, dark mode, haptics on every key.
Privacy first: no tracking, no ads, no servers of ours. Everything stays on your device. Full Access is only needed for the clipboard history and haptics. Smart suggestions through Claude or OpenAI are optional, off by default, and work only with your own API key.

1.4
October 27, 2026
Version 1.4 • A tap between two letters in the top row always types the letter; it sometimes counted as a tap on a suggestion and added a space or a word instead. • Fast repeated taps on the same key no longer lose any of them. • A long press on a digit offers it in the other numeral system: 1 → ١ and ١ → 1. • A ى in the middle of a word is always a slip: عاىلية suggests عائلية, and such words are never learned.
