This app hasn't been updated in over a year and so it doesn't work any more now. Don't download it.

Sam Knows is the only speed test our broadband provider accepts data from, so I was forced to try it. This rarely leads to any advantage to the customer, but it did on this occasion. Glad I installed it.
✅ Seems far more thorough in its testing than other industry standard speed testers I've used.

Lets you download on Mac but doesn’t work properly.
I understand that this app is for iPadOS but it lets you download on Mac and the understanding is that it should be at least functional. However you get stuck on the accepting terms and conditions page and cannot move forward

Crashes each time
Runs but on last part of the test it crashes. Happens all the time. Hoping this gets fixed in an update.
Crashes during the YouTube portion of the test
Just downloaded the app after getting an email from a Mediacom to sign up for a white box. I have run the app several times and in every case when it gets to the YouTube test the app crashes and no results are recorded.

Could be so much better
It’s great to have an app to access the stats on my white box however when you use a web clip more often than the app it’s obvious it’s not providing the data you need. Please add disconnects to the app

Latest app that I just got for iPhone still crashes. I can use my windows computer from website but iOS app has crashed and not useable. I have iOS 16.3.1.
Invaluable diagnosis platform
Great diagnostics platform and App. For those of you on iOS where App is crashing when opening, simply delete the App and reinstall from the App Store and you'll be up and running again. 👍

Stopped working
Usually a reliable app, however only briefly loads but closes itself down straight after, on both iPhone and iPad. This has been happening since iOS 16.1

The Sam Knows service works just fine. The iOS app crashes if you try to select any option.
Clear performance measurements on connectivity
A clean and intuitive mobile app to test the performance of you mobile or broadband connection with a nice feature showing the experience you can expect is regards to on-demand content.

App works as advertised, but I do think it could do with some TLC. It’s very slow and the UI is quite confusing. Viewing stats from my Whitebox is very clunky compared to the desktop website.
