I basically lost over $100 with this app because it no longer functioned once I purchased the everything bundle and Apple refused to refund my money smfh.

SampleTank used to be pretty good, but now it just crashes. The latest update makes it unusable. I really expected more from this Company.
Unusable with M5 iPad
This app used to work great with my old iPad. Now, however, it does not respond at all to my IK Multimedia iRigKeys I/O keyboard connected to my new M5 iPad. Other keyboard Apps continue to work, including those made by IK Multimedia. It seems that SampleTank is incompatible the new iPads. It is high time for an update to fix this problem.

インストール後、拡張音源を購入or復元しようとしても途中で止まります。その後、アプリ自体が起動できなくなりすので注意してください。

sunk cost - avoid this
I tried to re-install this - I was willing to punt on the lack of auv3 - I get an error when I try to restore purchases - It’s asking for hundreds of dollars to re-purchase the libraries again - I wish I never invested in this - one star is too many
Probleme bei der Installation …
… von In-App-Purchases auf einem iPad Air M4. Hier ist Geduld und Ausdauer angesagt. Anfänglich wirkt es so als wenn das Restoring der In-Apps gar nicht funktioniert und nach einer erneuten Installation von Sampletank (Neustart des iPads nicht vergessen!) wird endlich mit dem Laden der In-Apps gestartet. Hier sieht es nun so aus, als wenn sich nach ca. der Hälfte der Re-Installation der Soundsets (z.B. Sonik Synth) nichts mehr tut. der Schein trügt jedoch. Nach einer absurd langen Wartezeit und einem Neustart nach jedem abgeschlossenen Ladevorgang einer In-App (teilweise dauert es bis zu 45 min und mehr), sind nun letztendlich wieder alle früher mal dazugekauften Soundsets wieder am Start.

Outdated/Unusable in 2026
I’ve used this app for several years now on an iPad 6 for live music performance. It served its purpose pretty well. However, that iPad is finally starting to give up the ghost, so I majorly upgraded recently to an iPad Air M4. SampleTank is simply unusable on modern Apple silicon. Research this online and you’ll find many complaints about it. SampleTank utilizes InterAppAudio which has been phased out, and they haven’t updated the app to be workable with modern hardware. It was good while it lasted, but I’d advise doing your homework and looking elsewhere if you have any M# chip device or more recent iOS software updates.

Da ist die kostenlose GarageBand App um Welten besser! Bei der iGrand Piano gehts (gleicher Anbieter) hier sind die Piano und epiano grauenvoll. Drückt man die Tasten leicht ist der klang leise, hauet man drauf ist der gleiche Klang/sampl einfach nur lauter, keine Dynamik, keine breite.. wenn ich könnte würde ich die App zurück geben

Crashing on the IPAD PRO M4 CHIP
The app keeps on crashing after downloading … it not only this one … including igrand piano and ilectric piano… please send an update…
Noncompliant MIDI Support makes it basically unusable
it does not have AUV3 plugin support. This means you can't really use it in GarageBand or any DAW as a plugin. I'm frankly surprised by that. AUV3 plugin is 11 years old now. and essentially the whole audio app ecosystem for iOS/iPadOS revolves around AUV3 plugin support. Its MIDI support is noncompliant. There is no means to view or select virtual ports. It does not support pitch bend range for individual voices in live mode. And it does not support the standard medical command for pitchman range, which is RPN 0. It claims to support Audiobus. The basis of audiobus is inter app audio (IAA) and AUV3. Apple deprecated IAA in 2019 seven years ago. For developers who released apps to the App Store frequently we are required to link to the latest SDK and IAA no longer works in the latest. At the time in 2019 Apple said: IAA is deprecated. It may not work with future releases developers should use audio units AUV3 for this functionality moving forward.

Can you please make every single sound and every single sound pack in the entire app free to purchase and use? It would be great if we could have permanent complete free access to ALL of the sounds in the entire app without having to pay any money and without having to have a subscription. Can you also add several multiple numerous many more sounds and features? The app doesn’t have enough sounds or features.

2025 Update broke MIDI input
Absolute nightmare… I use this app for live performance: since the latest updates it seems to be completely unresponsive to MIDI note input, iPadOS 18.6, iPad Air 3.

バージョン2.0.12のリリースノートに「iOS18で外部デバイスからのMIDIデータを認識しない問題を修正」「ダウンロード可能なサウンドコンテンツが正しくインストールされない問題を修正」とありますが、どちらも改善されていません。
iPhone16e+iOS18.5+SampleTankの最新バージョンという環境です。
これまでSampleTankにはけっこうなコンテンツの課金をしてきたのですが、4ヶ月前のリリースノートでこの有様ということは、もう絶望するしかないのでしょうか？
