Great voice, struggles with prosody
The voice itself is great. It sounds very human. But it struggles with pronouncing certain things and where to pause in sentences and phrases. The PDF I fed it had the word clothing split between two lines with a between CLOTH on first line and ING on second line. It pronounced it as two words instead of one. Another example is the words great apes. It pronounced it “gray-it ai-ips.” The word laid was pronounced “lay-id.” It also pauses at the end of every line for as long as at the end of every song entrance, making the reading choppy. The funniest was when humans was split between lines as hu-mans and it pronounced it “who” pause “mans.”
Would love using the voice, if the reading flowed and pronunciation improved!

Phenomenal, wish there was a built in dictionary too.
Strange/Foreign Pronunciations 🙅♂️, but Human-Sounding 👍
The speech started off sounding so surprisingly *normal*/acceptable (which is above par for local iOS TTS). And then it reached the many words in the source text that include -eight (eight, weight) instantly revealed that all voice/region variants apparently come from one distinctively unusual/foreign source.
It would be great if we could train/adopt new voices based on voice recordings (voice cloning).
Continuing to avoid using this for now.

Incredible piece of software
As per the title I’m staggered that text to speech with Kokoro to now run on an iPhone and this piece of software coming out free is a brilliant GUI wrapper, really grateful for the developers work
Simply incredible
Thank you so much for building this
Not perfect but good
The voice of tts is very good but it canot the end of sentence corrctly and stop in end of the line that read not bu . Also it doesn’t detect words that splited by - please fix this items thank you alot .
It’s free
Good alternative to paid TTS
Gute app
Mir fehlt dass man das ganze Buch vorbereiten kann also denn Audio und somit auch mit ausgeschalteten Handy es hören kann
Very Promising!
The ability to upload a document is incredibly useful. But, like another commenter said, there are awkward pauses. Once that’s resolved, this is likely be my favorite app for reading PDFs
Nope
Doesn’t matter work at all
Impressed.
An exciting app with many possibilities.
Amazing!
Would be great if it had a web app so it can also be used on desktop, but the ios app is great
Incroyable
Magnifique application, j’attends seulement avec impatience l’ajout de voix françaises pour mettre 5 étoiles !
Cette app est géniale.
J’ai hâte que vous ajoutiez des voix françaises naturelles.
Pour l’instant, les voix anglaises lisent le français avec un tel accent anglais, qu'on ne comprend même pas que c'est du français.
C'est génial pour ceux qui parlent couramment l'anglais 👍🏻

Great, but still room for improvement
Given that this is a free app, it’s awesome impressive.
Three things that can make it even better:
1. Other languages, in my case, German.
2. The ability to import RTF files as well.
3. In some words, lots of the languages pronounce the “a” weirdly, kind of like “aya”.

A Pretty nice app with lots of potential!
Really love what Sandbook is doing — the text-to-speech feature is super useful and the overall design is clean and easy to use. It’s been helping me a lot!
One small issue though: the voice tends to pause awkwardly at the end of each line, which makes the listening experience feel a bit unnatural and annoying. It would be awesome if this could be improved in future updates.
Keep up the great work!

Wow! Love love love this app!
Amazing! The offline reader, uses a lot of VRAM… But sounds AMAZING! I was listening to a book that Gregory Keyes wrote: Elder Scrolls… and the language that Keyes uses for the many races, are VERY hard to read, yet this reader does very well! Anytime a reader can interpret and read Sci-Fi and Fantasy, it is a GOOD reader!!!’
I did notice that words like (Face, Gaze, Chase, Slate, space…) almost anything with a long A (Drape, table, take) almost has a “double syllable” sound… like there are 2 A’s … other than that…. Amazing

A TTS App with a voice that actually sounds human
The voice sounds way more natural than other app I've tried - actually sounds like a person reading to me instead of a robot Makes getting through my books so much easier when I'm tired after work.
Not perfect though. The app random stops reading when my screen turns off(super annoying when I'm trying to chores while listening). Also noticed the text highlighting gets wonky when switching chapters.
Still worth the download for sure. Hoping they'll keep polishingit with updates.
