Awesome app

I've had this app for years and I've finally got around to writing a review. The app produces very surreal and interesting takes in any photo, whether taken by the app or loaded in from the library. After all this time it still works flawlessly with iOS 26.4 and is just as much fun as before. Well worth the cost I paid.

the resolution is a joke

I specifically activated the higher resolution so that I could save the images as PNG. No matter how often you press the button, it remains JPG even though PNG is specified. It also sometimes takes forever to load an image from the camera roll. Sometimes the app just freezes. And the fact that it was last updated 8 years ago is another sad fact and shows that this app is actually long gone

Weird and Wonderful

Why give such a unique, bizarre program anything but 5.
Does the strange things it says on the box.
Great!!!

Massive glitch

I got this app yesterday and have only been able to take two photos with it. Reason being, the buttons on the app don’t work! I can’t take photos, I can’t change the colour modes and I can’t import photos! Nothing works!

Extremely buggy..

A lot of the time selecting any settings or capturing a photo will simply freeze up the app. Shane since I bought the HQ version

Still alive?

Errr, just bought this and love the effect. Is it still being developed. I ask here as the App Support page is just an advert.

Response from developer

Hello. Thank you very much. At the moment it is not in development but when there will be time I have to fix some bugs. Just one question: What you do mean with App Support is just an advert? You can contact me on PyteByte@gmail.com Thank you. Greetings

Love it

Just found this app and paid to unlock all today! Truly a cool app. Hoping developer will add some more color palette choices in the near future. Well worth downloading.

Can’t restore purchases!

Edit: Thanks for the developer response. Problem solved. I didn’t know the circular arrow icon restored purchases.

I like the app. It can produce some strange and interesting results. More pixel dispersion options would be good (such as radial dispersion with 360 gravity for example). As it is, it’s interesting, but currently limited in its creative scope.

BTW: I didn’t use a new apple account.

Original text:

Bought the full version on one iOS device to use on my phone. However, there’s no in-app option to restore purchases so I’d have to pay for it again so I can use it on my phone!

No easy way to contact the developer either (no email??).

Please fix this problem.

Response from developer

Hello I am sorry to hear that. There is a restore button. Maybe I didn't placed it so well. When you download the app and try to use a paid feature a message will appear. When you press "More infos" it will lead you to a screen with a restore button at the bottom. If it doesn't work please contact me under: pytebyte@gmail.com if it does work please reconsider your voting :) But guess you must have used a new Apple Account because otherwise buying the same purchase shouldn't be possible. Anyway. Please contact me over mail so I can help. Greetings

Beautiful and soothing

Watching the images change is very relaxing in itself.

WARNING— Problems

On the iPhone 6+ there is a bug. All the sand falls diagonally rather than down.

Old review:
A little unresponsive on my iPad 3.
Also the fastest sand melting speed is still too slow.
Lastly the IAP options are confusing. Just bunch it all into a single $2.49 purchase.
