About

Sandwich Wayfinder is a GPS-powered sandwich compass that shows the local sandwich traditions around you and helps you find nearby shops and delis. Sandwiches change from place to place. Philadelphia is not Chicago. New Orleans is not New York. A Connecticut lobster roll town feels different from a Cuban sandwich corridor. Sandwich Wayfinder helps you understand the local tradition before you order, so you know what to expect when you walk in. Open the app and instantly see: What sandwich territory you are in What bread, filling, and build tradition defines the area Which nearby sandwich spots are closest, using Apple Maps Features Get your current sandwich territory with GPS Explore regional sandwich traditions across the United States Browse sandwich regions on a map Discover “The Big Five” nearby sandwich spots Learn regional notes on bread, protein, toppings, and style Preview cities before you share your location Use the app without creating an account Optional tip jar to support future updates Sandwich Wayfinder is built for road trips, weekend drives, food tourists, and anyone who has ever wondered, “What kind of sandwich country am I in?” Chasing cheesesteaks, Italian beef, po’boys, hoagies, lobster rolls, Cuban sandwiches, Reubens, or muffulettas? Get a quick read on the region around you, including the traditions that shape what local shops tend to build and serve. Sandwich regions are cultural approximations. Local styles vary, and that’s part of the fun. Privacy Policy: https://www.fouledanchorsafety.com/flavortrek/privacy/ Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

What's New in Sandwich Wayfinder

More map, a smarter search, and a New Orleans that finally makes sense. NEW TERRITORY Central Connecticut's steamed cheeseburger belt joins the map, from Meriden through New Britain and Middletown. That makes 41 mapped sandwich territories. THE COMPLETE STATE ATLAS The Regions tab now builds itself from the map, so every mapped territory is reachable: 41 territories across 30 states. Alaska salmon, Anchorage reindeer sausage, Binghamton spiedies, Chesapeake crab cakes, Memphis pulled pork, Minnesota walleye, Nebraska runzas, NYC deli, Puerto Rico tripletas and Seattle teriyaki are all browsable now. SEARCH KNOWS THE LOCAL NAME A runza is a bierock. Loose meat is a Maid-Rite. A hoagie is a grinder, a sub, a hero, a wedge. Search now finds a territory under whatever you call it, including Taylor ham, kummelweck, Primanti and New York System. NEW ORLEANS, REDRAWN Po'boy country now covers the whole metro plus the bayou parishes, from Uptown and Metairie out to Houma and Thibodaux. The Muffuletta Core is now the French Quarter, CBD and Marigny it is named for. Territories can sit inside each other, so the Quarter gives you the muffuletta and a few blocks out gives you the po'boy.
