Great, until I have to log in when I am ‘on the go’ without an internet connection, like planes, remote locations etc. At this point the app is useless.

The MP4 files for this course are a great help to allow you to study on the go (travel, workouts etc.) Listening to instructor while reading and following in the books to add key notes is a mother plus. Helps with retaining info and being better prepared for the exam.
The gold standard
I must say, I have experience with different platforms, from Canvas platforms for college to military education platforms, educational and primary education resources, and CTE and other providers. So far, I feel like this platform has given me something far beyond what any other platform has. Most importantly, the material and how it is structured leave no room for confusion—there’s no way to go around trying to figure out what to do, where to go, or how to proceed. Everything is structured in such a way that it’s like a waterfall, so you can easily follow along. You can download the videos from the app on your phone if you don’t have internet, and you can always watch them. The material aligns with the books and with everything you’re doing in the live, hands-on portions. I gotta say, this is the best platform I’ve used so far, and as I integrate this into my first SANDS course, I feel like it’s really setting a new standard.

Fundamentally Flawed
It does really well at a lot of things, except (what should be a pretty basic function) syncing your progress to the browser portal. It's pretty frustrating to spend two 4-hour flights working through modules and then see none of that recorded in the browser portal. Downloading the videos is great, and so is the access to the course mp3s.... but your progress doesn't sync.....

Broken
Others reviews have been written but upon download, logging in, and launch - no content loads. It just spins without end. Doesn’t matter if I’m connected to WIFI or not, same result. The app is useless until it’s fixed.

Well-designed and awesome for on-the-go learning. Not understanding the bad reviews, bugs appear to be addressed. Happy learning!

Garbage
For what we pay for SANS courses this app should be a LOT better. Audio issues abound, loading delays. It can’t consistently remember my last video timestamp and needs to be force closed after the screen locks otherwise videos don’t play.

Not loading
App won’t load any of my content. It’s disappointing I won’t be able to listen while traveling. I see why this app has low ratings now…
Doesn't work
I am extremely disappointed this app doesn't seem to properly open or load the two training courses I've paid thousands for. I'd like to have used this while driving for work, and I know it worked 4 years ago. Something is going on and I hope they'll fix this bug soon- my phone and app are both up to date with the latest. Tried reinstalling and rebooting my phone too. Checking with customer service now to see if they can make a difference. Been troubleshooting this app now for 3 days on two different phones.

Solid experience, keeps improving
I’ve taken two courses, using a mix of the app and website. The app is great for firing up course material while you are away from your desk, walking the dog, etc. Tablet mode was a nice add for my iPad, makes it easy to take notes. Overall solid app. Would love to see CarPlay improvements (it works but not the smoothest). Keep up the good work.

It’s excellent
I don’t understand the negative reviews this app has gotten. It’s a phenomenal tool. It’s been great for the Bachelors program I am going through. I’ve used this app to study 4 of the courses so far, and it’s done everything I could ask for. I can download course videos to listen to while driving, autoplay sections, speed up/slow down videos, bookmark, etc etc. I just really really like that it’s a native UI for the stuff you’d get in a desktop browser on SANS, but now on my phone/tablet!!

Meh
It does what it’s supposed to be but for the price of a SANS course, I would expect more. Improvement suggestions are better tracking of where user last was , fix buggy video tracking (it takes 30 finger swipes to get the video rewind to work), and continue playing after rewinding video.
Progress lost
Very frustrating - app does not mark finished videos as completed. Have 1.18.26 installed.
Auto skip broken
Sometimes auto skips for no reason.
Lots of opportunity for improvement
1) Takes some work on the IPad to get the screen to rotate on its side.
2) Should have the PDF available through the app as well and the audio in case someone wants to listen on their commute.
3) PDF should have a PDF text-2-speech, where it ignores the head/footer and watermarks. Also so you can have the course read to you during your commute.
4) Sometimes just crashes with no error messages.

9k for each SANS class and the “companion app” doesn’t work?!
Buggy, randomly stops doing landscape
I like the idea of course material on m hi pad, but the app is just not mature enough, is glitchy, doesn’t sync my progress well and randomly stops doing landscape.
