About
Your audio. Yours to play.
Saptak is an open-source audio player for the music, podcasts, voice notes, lessons and recordings you own. Choose a folder and start listening. Your files stay where you keep them.
EVERY FOLDER IS A PLAYLIST
Browse your folder hierarchy, play one folder, or include all its subfolders. Add or remove audio in Files or Finder, then refresh Saptak to update your library.
THE CONTROLS YOU EXPECT
Play, pause, seek, shuffle and repeat. See the playback order in Up Next and pick up from your saved position after reopening the app. Use system playback controls and AirPlay on supported devices.
FIND AND SHARE YOUR AUDIO
Search track and folder names across your selected library. Read available embedded track details during playback and share original files through the system share interface.
LOCAL FILES AND CLOUD LOCATIONS
Choose folders on your device or in locations exposed by native document providers, including iCloud Drive. Folder access depends on the provider. Cloud files may need a connection and an operating-system-managed download before playback; downloads can use device storage.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No Saptak account, analytics, advertising, subscriptions or application backend. No permanent audio imports and no edits to your original recordings.
OPEN SOURCE
Saptak is released under the MIT license. Read, modify and share the source at https://github.com/gogrinimish/Saptak.
Saptak does not include music or podcasts. Bring your own audio files. Format support depends on your device and operating system.
