All there what I wanted. Well looked after app
The best satellite tracking app.
Regular use
Well put together
Great features and beautiful UI
A must download
Absolutely Incredible!
Response from developer
Thanks for the kind words — and for supporting the Pro version. Glad you’re enjoying the features. On the website side I recently rebuilt the celestial transit finder to make it fast and easy, and will add the same function to the next app release. In Sydney, the ISS will fly in front of the face of the moon this evening. I hope to see that with binoculars. Hope you get to see a re-entry!
Great app
Response from developer
Thanks for the review, At the moment there is no account or login needed, all preferences and settings are remembered on your phone/ipad. Any in-app purchase unlocks across all your devices. 'Favorite' satellites are icloud-saved. If in future there is a need to have login/logout function (for example to move data between website and app or vice versa) then it will be added!
Very satisfying purchase
The Best
This App is really neat!
Locked Down
More communication as to the paid nature of the app is necessary, in summary.
Original:
Completely locked itself down to non-paying users after around 48 hours on the store. I can’t see anything but Starlink, can’t use AR mode, can’t see satellite data, can’t rewind or fast forward time, can’t view the sky from the ground, can’t see the newsfeed, can’t use widgets or countdowns. It’s practically featureless at the free tier. Just make it paid upfront at this point.
Response from developer
Thanks for the review. Satellite Tracker 3D is a paid app with a free trial so you can explore it before purchase. The trial isn't intended as a permanent free tier — Core ($3.99, lifetime) unlocks all the features you mentioned and more. We kept the price low and there's no subscription required to access everything (unlike similar apps), and no ads. We'd appreciate an updated review if you decide to give it a go. -Justin.
About time
can we get landscape orientation on every screen?
Location not accurate.
Response from developer
Thanks for trying the app! You can set your location in Settings — either type an address or lat/long coordinates, or tap Geo-locate to use your device's GPS. On iPhone, GPS is very accurate. If you're using the app on a Mac, location is estimated from your network and can be way off — entering your coordinates manually works best there. A new update was just approved too with improvements worth grabbing. Hope this helps!
