About
Sattva is the place a yoga practice and the feeling that follows it stay together. Choose a pose, hold it at your own pace, then tap the body where you notice something. Week by week, those notes gather into a picture of what keeps changing.
The library is arranged as standing poses, balances, forward folds, backbends, twists, inversions, seated poses, and restorative poses. Each pose opens on its English name, its Sanskrit name, a line drawing, and one alignment cue. Further down are the steps, the adjustments, the cautions, and the regions that pose usually reaches. Filter by level, by hatha, vinyasa, yin, or restorative style, by one side or both sides, and by the part of the body you want to practice today.
You decide the session. Set the number of sets, hold in seconds or in breaths, and choose the rest between sets. A two-sided pose takes the right side and then the left inside the same set. A bell, a wooden fish, or a nature tone marks the start and the finish, and the last three seconds are spoken — three, two, one — so a hold can close with the eyes shut. When it ends, Sattva shows the time you began, the time you kept, each side on its own, and the poses you left for another day. Return to the same pose and a line on its page traces those holds. The latest strength you marked sits beside the drawing.
After the hold, a body figure turns under your fingers. Tap a region on the front or the back and it lights up with its English name, left and right kept distinct. Name the sensation — loosened, stretched, tight, calm, energized, and the others beside them — and set its strength from one to five. A pain note can carry its quality, a strength from zero to ten, when it showed up, and whether it changed the way you moved. When that quality calls for care, a short line invites you to speak with your yoga teacher or a health professional. Regions that belong to the pose you just finished are already softly lit, so the note is a few taps. Open the body again later, or on a day you practiced in your own way. A photo can stay with that practice.
Compose a sequence, give it a name, and set the sets and the hold for every pose in it. Saved sequences wait on the home screen. During the practice, one pose hands off to the next, and a brief preparation speaks the name of the pose that is coming.
The same figure then takes on color. Warmth gathers where loosening and release have been marked. Cooler color gathers where tightness and pain have been marked, and the words sit beside the color. The calendar places a dot on every day that holds a practice or a body note, and opens that day into its poses, its sets, its holds, and its sensations. Once the same region has been marked three times, Sattva writes a sentence about how often that feeling has appeared.
