New Boaters lifeline
As a new boater this app has saved me from getting into the shallows dozens of times. Once you put in your boat specs it will auto route to keep you in the deep water. Destinations and routes are SO much easier than trying to program my Simrad. Love being able to set waypoints and create safe routes from home anytime. 5 stars for that. Also, if you’re away and renting a boat in unfamiliar waters, this app goes with you!
Improvement I would suggest. My vessel draws 30” of water. When routing destinations this app will always keep you in the channels, however my routes can be significantly shorter and save time and fuel by going a more direct route, say by going through 5-6 ft of water. Why keep you in 12-15 ft of water when 4 or 5 would suffice? I thought that was the purpose of putting in your boats specs.
Otherwise a real handy tool.

Don’t bother
This is a big disappointment for me. I don’t know why they don’t tell you this before you download the app, but the app is worthless without giving your credit card first. To be able to use the app at all you have to give your credit card first and it gives you a three day free trial before it charges your credit card. Deleted app immediately.
App should be transparent, and I would tell people before they download the app exactly what to expect. I would let you try it for a week at minimum so that if you download the app during the early work week, you can at least make it to the weekend to get out on the water at least and try this app out.

Response from developer
Hey Shane, thank you for taking a look at the app. There is a totally free version in the US, so you never need to give card details or start a trial. It sounds like you opted for the Premium app version. All our costs are listed in the App Store, in the App and on our website but we're always looking for other places to list the costs. Email me on david@savvy-navvy.com and I can organise a longer trial for you so it covers the weekend. David
Not the Google Maps of Boating
The app lacks information, is not intuitive, and is overall lacking for a boating navigation tool. I subscribed to the premium subscription and regret paying for it. I have contacted support twice and they are not helpful. I recently asked about depth measurements for Moosehead Lake in Maine and was curtly informed they don’t have depth measurements for the lake. It’s the largest lake in the Northeast.

Enjoy the navigation
Don’t like that there is very, very limited information about the ground I’m covering. More names. Nothing comes up when I search a place and when I hover over a spot that should be my destination. Very limited information.. needs more not less
Location is not accurate
Current location is showing 200 meter which is showing I am on road while I am in the see
