I’m a ballet teacher

This is a great app for students to help them learn each step as well as the French ballet terms, the definition and pronunciation. The videos just help so much so that students can practice between classes. I don’t think any app should be used without a real time teacher. I don’t know what the student in the other review was talking about. The demonstrations on the video are really well done.

It’s ok….

READ THIS PLEASE… The girl you showed does not know what technique is. When you have pointe shoes you should do ballet carefully and really develop those tiny muscles, but she hasn’t trained hard enough (by the looks of it). Please GET A MORE ADVANCED GIRL! I am sorry if this is offensive, but the girl is very bad. She doesn’t look like she knows what she is doing. I have like a BILLION CORRECTIONS FOR THE GIRL; she is not pointing her feet, not staying square, not straightening her legs, her sternum is different then where she is putting her weight, so much more that wouldn’t fit here. Besides this girl and her terrible technique, I liked how you guys explained the meanings of what these words mean and how to sound them out and you know that stuff. This app has helped me a lot, and I love to study before we do terminology classes, barre, center, adagio, allegro, stretching, conditioning, and tons more. I have about 15 classes a week (since I’m advanced), and doing this app really helps me, and it is nice to see someone do it as an example. The one thing I hate is how it costs $8.00. But I would say lower it a little, so the people who have their hearts set on ballet, but don’t have the spare money or who don’t want to spend that much, still get the opportunity to study and fall in love with doing ballet exercises and how your supposed to do it and how not to do it. Once again, I loved this app and it is worth buying, and I encourage other people who want to study get this app. Thank you to the creator and the team. PLEASE get a more advanced girl for she SHOULD NOT have pointe for the terrible technique she had. She could damage her feet the way she is doing it and that is very dangerous. Sorry, but I’m being honest.

Amazing app

Incredibly useful for the basics. Works even better on the iPad. I’ve been using it for years. Recommend their jazz app as well.

Great

It’s a great app to help 12-13 olds learn without joining a class of five year olds

Nice

I bought it for my 2 daughters who are the beginners. It’s a visual ballet dictionary and they like it.

Awesome Study Tool!

I'm a Barre fitness instructor student. This is a wonderful App for dance & fitness students of any age. Love that I can see, hear, do all at once. I'll be using it often as I progress in my training & teaching. Thank you so much for making it. Bravo!

she is so confused when she doing her steps

you can do it:)

Horrible

Don't get

Well, not as awesome as it sounds.....

I am a classical ballet student that was looking for a great ballet app to enhance my ballet terminology and knowledge. When I saw SayBallet I was excited because it sounded like a great app. Well, it isn't. The app provides SOME videos of technique. The young girl demonstrating has average technique. I was expecting the person demonstrating should have pretty close to perfect technique and she doesn't. I would advise you to keep you 7.99 in your wallet. And keep looking for a great ballet app because this isn't it.

Average

This app was really expensive but I was desperate to learn some ballet positions before I started any lessons. This app contains heaps of moves and a good description of them but it does not tell you how to perform them. It's more of an app to show you what the position looks like not how to learn. If I had known this I may have not purchased it because it was really expensive and did not really help me much. I will appreciate it if you would do tutorials on HOW TO then I will write a much better review

P.S the girl in the videos is an amazing dancer she should start a career on her talent

Great but too much

Its a great app and very useful. Its hard to find ballet dictionaries anywhere on the web. The videos and pics r very useful. But this app is not worth the money. It should be at most $2.

Useful, but technique not great...

This is a useful app, great for students. My complaint is that the technique of the young lady demonstrating the steps leaves a lot to be desired. I would expect someone in a video for such an app to have flawless technique...

SayBallet Great Review

Great app! can't wait for SayTap to come out so I can expand my tap knowledge as well as my ballet and jazz knowledge.

Great!

This is a great app! I show my freinds ballet and what it means! They have the words right and what they mean. Cumz I'm a ballet dancer my self

Love it

I'm in love with this app it's so usefull but they hve to upload more videos to the app and to put a exit button when the video is playing

Invaluable learning aid!

This app is an excellent tool for new- and intermediate-level students. The audio and video integration are terrific and being able to use the app offline is a big plus. Not only is this the best ballet app by far, SayBallet is well-thought-out and the clean and simple user interface makes this one of the best iPhone apps period. Kudos to the developers :)
