More than happy for my tax dollars being spent on such a broad and vast selection of movies. Can we include some even more fringe/ underground/ marginal films and documentaries please? I love watching things I don’t agree with or know about.

I love the SBS app. Easy to navigate and easy to watch. But there’s no streaming for chrome anymore. I tried all the troubleshooting, but couldn’t get it to work. Might be a glitch?

I would like to control the volume on SBS demand on my phone using my Apple Watch ultra. This allows me to not have to touch the phone in order to control the volume. The phone is merely the viewing platform. The watch on my wrist. Allows me to control the volume and pause or play please fix this.
Great content but the most appalling and annoying advertising interruptions not worth it!
I have been trying watching SBS since 1980’s such a incredible station the rich diverse programming as been second to none, but unfortunately due to the longest most annoying and appalling adverting interruptions I had to stop watching broke my heart… but enough is enough I have written countless emails giving up… I understand why to fund new content production but literally prime video has less ad interruptions on there free movies SBS on demand is just not worth the endless interruptions they will play the same mindless ad over and over and over again so lazy and good bye!

Update May 2026, app just tells me something went wrong?! Unusable, have deleted.

Great shows
Gone from non commercial to so many ads it’s unwatchable
Terrible how they ruined this sbs. sometimes now it will play a series of ads say there’s only a certain amount remaining and then play another series. I’ve taken the finding other ways to watch shows that are on SBS because they’ve ruined it with the ads.

As always SBS On Demand supplies a great selection of local and international films, tv series and movies. Both old and new. The app is great to use and there is always something great to watch. And with streaming services charging more it’s great to have SBS on Demand.

No longer working on 5th generation iPad
Update: very prompt response from SBS confirming iOS17 or above required to open the app. A simple workaround was given to login through their website. Happy again and very appreciative of the support.
Just stopped midway through binge set with error Sbs apiclient errordomain error 10003. After many tries to restart device and app I noticed that IOS 17 is now the minimum required. The latest for 5th generation iPad is 16.7.16.
Great app (best of all the free-to-air channels) but now useless.
