Minor scales incorrect

On my app, for example, Bm scale doesn’t contain a C#. Am I missing something?

Nice app otherwise.

awesome app but 5 string would be amazing!!!

i love this app it is very informative and i love Talkingbass. i think one thing to make this app perfect would be a 5 string bass option! just an idea

A great app

This is a great app which I use all the time. It would be even better if it had the option to select all the notes in a scale across at least the first 12 frets - so you could visualise all the notes in one view. Great app though. Five stars.

Response from developer

v1.20 has just been released which adds a left handed option in the new settings page. Let us know if it does what you want.

Don’t waste your money like me

Scales are not in all frets, they need to put scales complete in all mástil like other apps does (scales pro app)

Fantastic app

Brilliant tool for learning and practicing your scales and all of the various modes. Even has the music theory for each of them. As a lefty it would be nice if you could flip the display so I don’t have to reverse it in my head 🙂

UPDATE: So a couple of days later and there’s a new version with support for Lefty’s, totally awesome.

I continue to be impressed with this app, if you play or are learning bass there really is no reason not to get.

Update 2: still using and enjoying this app. Would like the ability to adjust the volume mix levels for the click and the scale when it plays through the scale. So I can adjust it to just have the scale sound so I can learn what a particular scale sounds like or move it to more click for practicing with.
Thanks.

Waste of money

I own a near identical version of this app from the same developer that now just crashes. Came to App Store to check if there are updates in the works and it no longer shows up, but I can buy this one for £2.99.
Don’t buy, if this version stops working down the line are they going to try and sell it me again? Probably better off looking online for a scale book instead, at least that will work for years to come. Bought this purely to leave a review and hopefully save someone else a bit of money.

Place for improvement

Would be great to have the scale on the 4 strings with the same hand position.

Also need to have the selected scale on all the fret board with the 5 different hand positions and not only from the root note.

Very cool!

App is fun, informative and works well. Mark is a great teacher. Love the website, videos and lessons.

Metronome and Silent mode

The app is great! Lots of variation to choose from. I would love 3 improvements. 1) silent mode with only visual queues when to play the next note 2) Metronome mode, the same as silent Mode but with a click. 3) Unrelated to the above, a way to remove or change the delay between loops (eg no delay)

Its faily basic

You have access to all scales and are shown how to play them in various positions.

Considering that Mark is one of the best web bass teachers on the planet i was expecting some kind of deeper learning tool, posibly instersparsed with cuts from his execellent videos, or some form of interactive learning system that listens tonwhat you play and teaches you more about how to use scales.

Still a solid 4 stars.

Superb.

A really good App which is simple to use and really informative. Great work Mark and the team 👍

Great app!

This app is very well laid out. You will not be disappointed. Mark Smith is a fantastic teacher and a phenomenal bass player! Just this app alone will give you many years of learning and entertainment. When you get to the point of wanting to apply these scales in your everyday playing, do yourself a favor and head on over to talkingbass.net. There is a ton of free lessons. Then if you want to have a more structured lesson plan you can buy separate courses. Quarterly he will offer a low cost monthly subscription for those of you that would like to see what all fuss is about. I highly recommend talkingbass.net

Fantastic app!

If you already play, or are just starting out, get this app. Packed full of more information than I hoped for. A true labor of love to give so much detail!
