About

Your car has 139 sensors. Most apps show you eight. ScanMyCar shows you all of them — and a built-in AI explains what they mean. A little amber light comes on and never says why. You plug in a $20 code reader and get P0420 — five characters that mean nothing. ScanMyCar reads everything your car's computer will tell it, pulls every code from every module, and lets an AI that sees all of it explain, in plain English, what's wrong and how urgent it is. Pair a cheap Bluetooth OBD-II adapter (like a Veepeak) with the app. No account, no signup — you're reading live data in seconds. — 139 LIVE SENSORS, NOT EIGHT — The typical OBD app surfaces the same eight gauges. ScanMyCar decodes up to 139 live parameters straight from the standard: short and long-term fuel trims on both banks, every oxygen sensor, catalyst temperatures, timing advance, EGR, evap, pedal and throttle channels, torque — the readings that actually localize a fault. Whatever your car supports, ScanMyCar reads it. — EVERY TROUBLE CODE, IN PLAIN ENGLISH — Read stored, pending and permanent codes from every control module — engine, transmission and the rest — and clear them when you're ready. Tap any code to see what it actually means, not just the five-character label. — AN AI THAT SEES THE WHOLE CAR — Ask the built-in AI anything. Its answer is grounded in your actual data — the codes it found, every live reading, the readiness monitors, even the freeze-frame saved when the fault set. It rates the urgency — drive normally, check soon, or stop — and you can attach a photo of a part or a warning light and chat back and forth. Specific answers about your car, not a generic web result. — IT WARNS YOU OUT LOUD — You can't watch a gauge at 70 mph. When a reading crosses a dangerous line — coolant nearing overheat, oil too hot, voltage dropping — ScanMyCar says it out loud on screen, and sends a notification when the phone is locked. At most one warning per sensor a minute, and it ducks your music instead of talking over it. — A DASHBOARD YOU BUILD — Watch the metrics that matter to you on a live cockpit of needle, digital and bar gauges, updating in real time as you drive. Put any of the 139 parameters in any slot — keep it to the vitals, or load it up with fuel trims and catalyst temps when you're chasing something down. Metric or imperial, switched at the display. — THE DETAILS THAT MAKE A DIAGNOSIS — - Emissions readiness — see whether the car's self-tests have finished before an inspection. - Freeze-frame — the exact sensor values the car recorded the instant a fault set. - Trips & drive history — every drive logged locally, with distance and economy, exportable to share with a shop. — PRIVATE BY DEFAULT — There's no account and no cloud. Every reading, code, trip and chat lives in a database on your phone. Delete the app and it's all gone. - No sign-up, no login, nothing stored on a server. - No ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs. - AI features send your question and the relevant vehicle data to Google Gemini only when you use them. — WHAT YOU NEED — The Bluetooth adapter above and any US car built since 1996 — the OBD-II port is standard. — THE SCANNER IS FREE. PRO ADDS THE AI. — Every gauge, sensor, code and drive log is free forever. ScanMyCar Pro adds the AI mechanic — grounded chat, the system-by-system health check and ride analysis — plus power tools like HUD mode, 0–60 timers, Mode 06 tests and CSV export. Pro is an auto-renewable subscription: $4.99/month or $39.99/year, charged to your Apple ID and renewing until you cancel it in your App Store settings. A knowledgeable assistant, not a mechanic. ScanMyCar explains what your car is reporting and points you in the right direction — it isn't a substitute for a professional diagnosis, and a code should be cleared with an understanding of what set it.
