Outstanding medical app for moles
The Scanoma medical team along with their care doctors are absolutely outstanding, thorough, and very descriptive in their diagnosis of my mole. Thankfully, my mole was just a wart, but more importantly it gave me peace of mind, which is everything in life.
I highly recommend this app as it is absolutely five star outstanding along with their physicians.

Great idea but less helpful than it used to be
Love this concept and have used it previously for reassurance but dropping the free (if less accurate) initial rating definitely makes the app less accessible than it was, especially if it isn’t made clear.
Inaccurate Rating
Ratings should really have to be reset when major changes are made in an app. For instance completely removing the free feature.

Hidden costs
States AI will give free opinion on mole and doctor can then review it. After photo taken of my mole, the only option was to pay to get doctor's opinion. No free AI option given. App deleted immediately as do not appreciate being conned
No price listed in app info - but $35!!
I know the developer will say that the app is worth the $35 and you’ll save money over countless doctors appointments. Fine. But STATE the price in the app information so we don’t waste our time.

I liked this app, as it used AI to determine whether or not you should investigate. Which meant that you could investigate multiple areas. However, now you are sent straight to a dr for their opinion and you have to pay for it. There’s no point, you can go and see a dr and pay for there advice anywhere. Disappointing.

Just be upfront about the cost. It says no in-app purchases, but then suddenly wants to charge £26.

There is no initial assessment or free trial. Any analysis costs $35 to send to a doctor. That’s for each mole.
No AI
Download page says you can use an AI tool to scan, or send it off to a doctor for a consultation. There’s no AI tool. It only wants to charge you money to send the image to a real doctor. Might as well just go to a doctor.
In-app purchase not mentioned
Pretty sure against the rules. While I’m not against payment, I am very much against lack of disclosure.
Scanoma review
I had a sore mole, the GP referred me to a dermatologist but I was going to have to wait for at least 6 months for an appointment! I decided to try the Scanoma app instead. It was brilliant! I had a diagnosis within a few hours. It was so reassuring to know that the mole was fine for now. I will definitely use the app again if there are any changes to my mole’s or the problem flares up again.

Misleading
It implies it’s free, they take your email then say it’s £26 for one diagnosis!
Paid and never responded
I paid to send a photo and never heard back. Waste of money and time and feels like a scam.
No more free AI??!
Ughhh. I used to love this app and used it often when it offered the free AI assessment of something you wanted to check on your skin. Now you have to pay. Deleted the app. Not worth paying for it.
Flawed and no way to delete login email address
Not much use. Required sending picture to offshore Dr for $30+. No way to delete registration either. Sad.
Can’t upload from photo library
I have great pictures of the mole on my middle back in my photo library, but every one I try to take in the app is blurry. It is so hard to get a good angle and lighting through the app, but using my watch, I can capture a pretty good picture. We need a way to upload from photo library. I’m not going to pay $35 to have someone look at the blurry, dark picture I capture in the app. I just spent the last 20 minutes trying to get a good one with no success.
