A Cinematographers Dream
I’ve used various pieces of lighting plan software over the years, all were a bit rubbish. I clung on to Shot Designer until it eventually died its slow, painful death, dabbled using Sidus Link’s lighting plan generator for a while, and ultimately ended up using Photoshop and PNG icons bought from FilmSetObjects. But it was such a cumbersome workflow and I found it incredibly frustrating. I felt like I was never truly moving at the speed of thought, but had given up on anyone ever designing a truly great piece of lighting plan software
So I was genuinely over the moon when Scenario came along. Developed by people who truly understand what Cinematographers want and need from planning software, it is stable, quick, constantly updated, and always improving. It has made my prep infinitely more pleasurable and I genuinely love drawing plans in this software. I feel like I am now working at the speed of thought. Kudos to Clayton and the team for such a great piece of software and for making a truly indispensable tool for us Cinematographers. I can’t recommend this software enough.

Early adopter - great work in progress
Fast and easy. Just waiting for the new updated assets. Current bugs are glitchy placement of the assets. Hopeful on the progress
