Outstanding Navigation App for Porsche Tours

I’ve been using Scenic for a couple of years and it has become my go-to navigation app for driving tours. I’ve used it across multiple U.S. states for personal adventures, Porsche Club of America (PCA) tours, including Porsche Parade, and relied on it throughout a two-week driving trip across Italy.

Route planning is intuitive, importing and sharing routes is straightforward, and once you’re on the road the app is easy to follow. I especially appreciate the wealth of information Scenic provides, from road details and points of interest to route statistics that make planning more enjoyable.

Whether you’re organizing a weekend backroads drive or a multi-country road trip, Scenic has proven to be reliable, flexible, and well thought out. It’s one of those apps you don’t fully appreciate until you’ve used it on a great driving road.

Our Riding Associations only Route Planning App

Scenic is simply the best route planning app . Simple to use, simple to share routes with others, it’s the only app our association uses to plan group rides

Easy planning with a lot of functionality

I just planned a 500 mile route with over 50 points along the way and found it very easy to create save edit and follow. The scenic option is suggesting routes that hadn’t occurred to me. Checking out other riders saved routes provided some reassurance in unfamiliar areas.

Horribly complicated app

Never ever I’ve been exposed to such a complicated navigation app. Canceling two hours after subscribing.

Incredible Ride App

We have been using scenic for over 10 years and absolutely love it. The app is always being updated with cool new features.

Powerful route planner for adventure riders

I’ve been genuinely impressed with Scenic. As an adventure motorcycle rider, it’s become my go-to app for planning trips. The route planning is excellent, with support for multiple saved routes, favourite locations, stops, via points, and fine-tuning the balance between scenic back roads and highways. It offers so many features I wish Apple Maps had, and it genuinely feels like it was designed by riders. The only downside is that the UI can feel a little clunky at times, and the map styling isn’t as polished as Apple or Google Maps, with labels sometimes appearing inconsistent depending on the zoom level. Even so, the functionality more than makes up for it. Thanks to the team for building such a capable app—I’d happily recommend it to any adventure or touring motorcyclist.

Flexibility/Customization is the killer feature

The best map/navigation app I’ve found giving you the option to customize almost every aspect.

Last update is way better!

Well done, I enjoy the last update, ease of use and legibility of the interface are vastly improved!

Would love to see a weather radar layer added. Especially for motorcycle rides

New rider opinion

Every single ride I’ve tried to create has tried to put me on i405. Nope. No means to change the settings to allow me to avoid highways or freeways. Until then, removing this app.

Scenic 4.41 with iphone 14 Pro. IOS 26.5

Lots of help from Guido when needed but the onboard help and tutorials are good. Plenty of settings to tune it for yourself. I find the Start a bit difficult for each ride but once moving it starts itself. I would prefer the speed display to be higher on the screen but can live with it where it is. The best route planner and guide that I have used.

Scenic is excellent

We have a riding group in Pagosa Springs Colorado called Pagosa back road riders (PBRR). We use scenic all the time to plan trips through the mountains. It’s an excellent app if you like detail, small roads, or the presets that allow you to do curvy roads, etc. Highly recommend recommended.

Love it

Great mapping/tracking device, easy to use. Not perfect but pretty good

Unequal to iOS users

In an android device I can freely import GPX files for a club car cruise to my map. But on my iOS it requires me to upgrade to premium to import a route someone else made.

Crashes more times then Helen Keller on a bicycle

Every time I use the search function for a location it crashes while generating a route. For an app you pay for this is unacceptable.

Hot Garbage

If I could give this app negative star’s I would, the only thing that’s good about it is the route it found, the rest is a disaster. Loading the GPX file was a pain (and having to load it again when the app quit for some unknown reason was no picnic either), the interface was annoying to use I couldn’t figure out how to put it in turn by turn mode it just stayed in map overview mode, someone on the ride found the turn by turn that was fine but it consumed a lot of battery life and the battery saver mode is so basic that it causes some confusion, and everyone’s map on the ride was a little different so some people took different turns, this app makes you wish that Google would just build a choice for the scenic route in to Google Maps, oh and lastly this goes out to all Nav apps not jus this one, the turn by turn “voice” part should be off by default and there should be a button on the screen prominently featured to turn the goddam voice off!!!!

Wanted to ride, got frustrated instead

Got the app because I can't custom adjust a scenic direction path on Apple maps, got the app and bought premium subscription.

Could not even use it one time. Kept trying to "add to route" different locations near my target and each one would cause the app to shut down.

Not wasting more time, cancelled premium, deleting app. Please fix this extremely obnoxious issue for existing users and potential users just trying to ride that day.

Well worth the money - updated

I bought the app after reading some reviews and planning ahead for an upcoming motorcycle trip. The app took us on routes that we never would have found and made for a fantastic trip. Will use this anytime I am going for a drive. Highly recommend.
The new version of the app is very intuitive and easy to use. New features being added. I’m very happy that it’s still here for us and will continue to use on a regular basis.
Thanks for sticking with it.

Scenic is a good app.

Its a fantastic app love that you can easily make your own ride and easy to follow and ride with. The only thing is a dirt bike and adventure rider sometimes the routes don’t always show up and you have these big round about ways on the map as it recons the dirt track doesn’t continue from one via point to another. If you could set up some sort of bridging system so that you could just say that the track continues to the next via point for sections of track that would be amazing and far less confusing when you ride.
