The "Schadensmeldungen mobile" app is an addition to the forest protection reporting portal provided by the Northwest German Forest Research Station (https://www.nw-fva.de). The portal is used to record damage to forest stands, monitor the most important pests and document crop protection applications. With this app, users registered in the forest protection reporting portal can record damage directly in the forest - even without a network connection. The app is initialized with the account for the forest protection reporting portal. This requires network access. During initialization, maps and other required data are loaded onto your device. Afterwards, damage can be recorded offline directly in the forest. If a network connection is available, the messages stored on the end device can be transferred to the portal or shared by email with an automatically added KML geodata record. For example, Entrepreneurs are provided with precise work orders immediately after the damage has been recorded.
