Works, fast and private
I purchased it for my Wotan amp (amazing amp) so I do not have to change inputs and control the loop settings without getting up. I don’t use it as often but when I do it opens fast and get it done. And done well without any login in or updates or remembering password. You set it up by opening the app and adding the unit. It asks do a pin and that’s all.

Game changer
You don’t think you need this, or will care, until you try it. Dead simple to use, works perfectly and overcomes the two weaknesses of having schiit components: multiple mini remotes and tiny labels on the component’s “action” buttons. Currently running Wotan and Freya plus and especially nice for putting pre in passive and amp on standby when I’m stepping away for a bit. No more rack diving!

Excellent!
This is a significant product! Paired with my tube amp I now have a remote control (iPhone and iPad) for volume. I also have a three band PEQ that allows me to fine tune my Klipsch Heresy speakers. And the Mimir DAC sounds wonderful (I also have a Topping and Denafrips). Once Forkbeard is part of your system you will no longer feel the need to upgrade your DAC because the sound can be tailored to your preference. Wonderful!

Something so simple, but yet so great to have! I have been testing out Forkbeard along with my new Aegirs & Kara over the last week, and it has been great. The fact now that I can control my whole audio system (also have Eversolo DMP-A8 streamer) with my phone is game changing to me. I now don’t need my phone with multiple remotes. How I can see with Forkbeard the power meters and if I’m still in Class A or not, and that I can put the amp in or out of standby is outstanding.
Also, kudos to the developer of this app! Design is great, the dark/light auto mode in app & app icon, and with all options in settings. I will say though the volume knob for my Kara in the app is finicky. Keep the volume dial, but is there anyway you could put a + over the gain button, and a - over the input button (or anywhere) to control the volume as well? Then in settings we could have options to choose db levels we could change the volume on one tap of + or - of say 0.5, 1.0, 3.0, 5.0 db etc.,?
Great job on coming out with the Forkbeard!Unless it’s for desktop use near me, I couldn’t imagine buying a product in the future without it. Can’t wait for future updates.

No Instructions
I wish there were instructions on how to use the app and how to access all of the system health metrics as advertised. All I have been able to do is view the power output on my Wotan (GREAT amplifier!!).

Has potential but needs work. Volume circle fights to work, can’t swipe knob around, have to tap it and it goes up and down with same tap motion. Just give us a straight line we can swipe up or down, or let us swipe our finger around to adjust. tired of fighting this thing, but if improved it would rock
