I love having Jane’s voice in my head!
The School of Weaving has helped me so much as a new weaver. I am gaining confidence. I rewatched and followed followed closely as I honed the basics and now its inspiration all the way. I’ve woven up many, and by no means all, class projects. There is something here for, may I say, everyone. Jane is a natural with the camera and a born teacher. Everything is fun on Jane’s island. Her guest teachers are fun and bring other inspirations. I really love this online school.

Yards and yards
The thing for me about the School of weaving is that we weave. Yards and yards of weaving is where I am learning and applying the lessons. You can tell someone how to do something, but the real learning is in the practice. The structure of the lessons, which include Jane weaving, not only promotes practice but provides an opportunity to see someone practice.
It’s funny, at first I thought watching Jane weave was boring and I’d skip ahead, but now I not only watch but refer back to those videos when something is not jelling.

I signed up to JST a few years ago and just love it. Jane is so lovely and really good at explaining everything, you feel like she is sitting in the living room with you 😊The pdf notes are an invaluable resource to refer back to. I was a complete novice when I started and signing up to JST is the best weaving investment you will make👍

Jane is an amazing teacher and shares such a wealth of knowledge on weaving.
What a delight!
I’ve been weaving for years, have taken many classes and workshops. Jane’s instruction on winding a warp and dressing a loom is a game changer. I just wound a 13 yard warp on my loom. I beamed it in less than 30 minutes without a single snag. A dream! If you’re on the fence about subscribing and you can afford it, do it.

I started with SOW in 2018 when I retired! I had more time….. It has been a great ride. jane Stafford is an engaging teacher with excellent teaching skills.
Each class is well designed. Topics are interesting.
Can’t wait until SOW season 10 starts!
Especially looking forward to canalè, dimity, diversified plain weave. Also looking forward to twisted wrap episode - which I have really admired..
Advice to anyone sitting on the fence - take the risk. It is fun and informative. Give it a try. In my area 1 class costs double to quadruple the cost of one season. This is a great value.

If you are a beginner or an expert, School of Weaving is for you. I’ve been a weaver for many years, and a member of JST School of Weaving for 6 years. Every time I log in and follow Jane’s episodes, I learn something new. I recommend it to anyone who is trying to be the best weaver they can be.
