Not user friendly
Our district moved to this application and it is much less effective and not as flexible as previous apps and ways of communicating. Items get buried and the search function is horrific. Even when you try to separate via class, etc, it does’t filter correctly. Also difficult to find and keep records of items.

New to Notman
This is my daughter’s first semester in Norman schools. Compared to where he came from the communication between the school district and the teachers is 100% better. Her teacher, Mrs. Frickenstein, is amazing. She has helped her understand and love math within the first two days of being there. She is happier than I have seen her in over a year.

Slow and many other issues
Slow to load new content. convoluted USABILITY and UX. Can’t give any thumbs up to let the teachers know we saw the message. That’s not really a heavy lift to add as a feature. The talking points apps is much better!
Teacher Interface
Doesn’t work well on iPhone. Can’t view student details or grades because it stops scrolling. Can’t easily click around because the box to see attendance records is cut off.

Very user friendly!
Easy to use. Its great that you can email so many teachers at once and teachers check this app out more than their email so theres a bit of a faster response time.

Great app until…
There is a fee for using. Can no longer use an individual account must be whole school which is stupid. Had to switch to another that doesn’t have the same features as This one.
Terrible compared to ClassTag
This app is used by our daycare after switching from the class tag
Unfortunately, we don’t have any saying in the matter, but it’s a pretty terrible application on a parental side.
One of our first frustrations with the application is downloading pictures. Videos are sometimes sent out by your school throughout the day with pictures of our children. One class tag, it was easy enough just to click download. On this app, you download and then it opens into Safari and you download it from Safari in a six step process. Needless to say, I easily have far or less pictures of our little ones growing up now and their experiences because it’s just that much more time-consuming to do.
Messaging is much more limited. It’s a silly thing, but we used to be able to at least do some basic reactions to posts with a thumbs up, heart, etc. Now, that’s just not possible as a result, it’s a less personable app.
Our daycare is also run into a restriction for messaging posts. I don’t know the specifics, but apparently they’re limited to 15 people. As a result, some parents have to select who they’re going to use as a contact. To get around this, our local Daycare has then been forming a simple SMS text chat.
All and all, I am not happy with this application at all, and I can’t wait for a different one in the future
