What I liked most was that it felt like there was actually a matchmaker behind the scenes. The AI explained why we might be a good fit, which made me way more open-minded. I ended up meeting someone I probably would’ve overlooked on a swipe app — and now we’re planning a trip together. It’s not perfect, but it feels like it actually tries to get you, which is rare.

The analysis of me is spot on. I love reading each comparison with a potential match, even when the score is low, feels so insightful. Definitely a refreshing approach to meet someone. Love it!!!
Worth the wait
Something to keep in mind is this is a growing application. The initial problem was finding other active users however patience is absolutely a virtue, and I found seemingly the love of my life with this app. Very happy, give it some time to grow.
Way better than random swiping
I tried the celebrity look alike feature just for fun, thinking it wouldn’t actually work—but wow, it does! My matches look very much like my type. Now, I use it to filter people who fit my type first, then choose the match with the highest AI cọmpatibility. It’s so much more efficient, and we click so much better! If you're tired of random swiping, you need to try this!

This app is terrible. Even the articles in the Wall Street journal about it are all made up stories. From people who are friends with the developers.
Stop spamming me
I canceled my account and deleted my profile almost a year ago and I keep getting notices of new admirers and have asked to be removed from emails they still keep coming. Unsubscribe is not working, buyer beware.
it actually “got” me
I’ve tried a lot of dating apps, but scimatch is something else. From the start, it felt like actually “got” me. The matches aren’t just random; they feel real, they really seem to fit my personality and I connected with someone amazing within few weeks. I also really like that with scimatch, I can start chatting with people who are already a good match for me, without the whole waiting-for-a-like thing. And the concept of finding someone who resembles my ‘face mate’ is seriously impressive. If you’re over the usual swiping, give it a shot.

Absolute nonsense
The ai is effectively built to “cold read” people and it got me completely wrong. I went through a few profiles - there were literally 4 in my area because I’m currently in the middle of nowhere. Then I chose to expand my range a bit, immediately was presented with an obvious model, definitely a planted highly attractive profile to inspire people to purchase subscriptions. A lot of dating apps do this and it’s such a manipulative business tactic.
There’s an option to have the ai determine how compatible you are. I ran it with the model. Her pictures are of her on private jets, boating in expensive bikinis, has facial work, works out at equinox. The ai said “you are only 41% compatible because she will not understand your idealism and superficial needs, and you will not accept her love of freedom” …this couldn’t be more off base and had me rolling my eyes.
Cool idea I guess but people with any depth can’t be judged by an algorithm reading their photos. I can do far better with intuition and observation, ai doesn’t even come close to accurate.

the entire process of signing up for this app including this review has been done on my morning walk. In the time it took me to leave my yard and round the first turn of my neighborhood this app constructed my entire profile with astonishing accuracy. an absolute MUST try.
Perfect for an old timer like me
All I can say is wow. I’m not really to familiar with technology and even writing this review is a step forward for me. But as soon as I signed in this app basically took the wheel and steered. It created my entire profile better then I could have ever done my self. All while I’m shaking my head up and down in full agreement with its description of me. Amazing!!

I’m not paying for membership so only using the free features. Seems good but after scanning my face it’s only matching me with ugly men lol. Also there aren’t any men anywhere near me. Must say getting the AI to do me a funny bio was a good move though. Will keep my fingers crossed 🤞

After *global* searches for lookalikes of my “celebrity crushes” (ie Hassan Johnson from The Wire) with a 25+year age range (32-59) all turned up “no matching candidates” and a suggestion from the app to “tweak your search criteria” I decided to browse the profiles across the United States and realized the problem: pretty much all the dudes look the same! Pale, bald/bearded, round. Mark Proksch from What We Do in the Shadows and Jason Alexander would get a LOT of hits on the lookalike search.

Please please please seek out a MUCH more diverse user base. I paid for three months and now that I’ve seen the sad lack of diversity in profiles, I’m sorry I did.

Terrible app and the story of how people met are fake
This app is terrible. The stories about people meeting are fake. The app is filled with fake profiles. Don’t bother wasting your time. It’s not even worth the time to download.
Literally Can’t Create an Account
I downloaded the app and it asked me to create a login and a verification is sent to my email. However, no matter how many times I have clicked it, I get an error that the link is invalid. So no, this app is so poorly programmed, I can’t even use it.
