Room to Improve But Useful App
This app has its benefits - being able to message other trainers you’ve met simply by both of you having linked your accounts, being able to view what raids are on both in your area and around the globe, joining groups and meeting new people… These are all great features, but it’s time for Scopely to start investing some more time into the app.
Coloured text would be very handy for group leaders and community ambassadors trying to organise their groups & channels, app themes (such as a Dark Mode or a Pokémon GO theme) would make the app look more modern and click more with players, and an option to log-in to the app simply by tapping a “Log in with Pokémon GO” button (identical to the webstore) would also be a great quality of life improvement.
Would love to see these improvements in the future, and when they do I’ll be able to come back and update this review.

Legit terrible and useless
Rather than building a matchmaking system into the PoGo app, Niantic and Scopely decided to be lazy and force you to download this barely functional piece of garbage.
Nice idea
Frankly the social side is still a failure.
Zero moderation tools beyond banning and deleting. Supposedly you can report but there doesn't appear to be any follow through by whoever or whatever automated process handles that. There's no way for a group's leadership to talk together privately to handle situations, only publicly if they set a channel to admin only.
No search function.
No iPhone support for emoji in channel names.
Searching specific people barely works and finding the admin or moderators in a group only seems to work if you load the entire group list by scrolling first and then scroll back up.

Not bad
I like all the things the app offers. Showing gyms, meetups, groups, etc. I’m looking to move and don’t want to be too far from everything lol one thing that is super annoying is if you have multiple notifications like from your friends liking a post, you might tap on one of the notifications and the other ones disappear and none of them show up in the app. So you can see how many people liked your post when you go to look at it, but not who exactly. I also like the option to host or join a raid on here but it seems to not be very active. I think most pogo users are not active on campfire. I don’t like how the chat feature is limited in the raid players’ lobby on this app. I do like that I can communicate with players on my friends list without giving out personal information. I just wish people used this app. Overall, I don’t understand all the hate for this app with people saying it’s hard to navigate and confusing. It’s really not at all. There’s things they could improve on for sure like the dynamax Pokémon not updating with the correct Pokémon

開發商強硬綁定，Pokémon go 好自為之，活動報到增加難度，值得負評，一星都多餘

Lake America doesn’t exist
It called Lake Ontario.
Could be better
The old version used to make it easy to join raids around the world so you had more options. I miss that.

Please add a global join for raids
I live in a rural part of Texas so nobody is raiding and it would be nice to get in some groups with more than 2 people
Super good app
I can make tons of friends
Why is it local
Why is it local that was the problem and all they did was just rebrand as campfire make the raid joining or hosting global not local
Nutzlos
Seit dem letzten Update unbrauchbar, viele nützliche Funktionen wurden entfernt. Braucht man nicht mehr.
Doesn’t save location enabled
Since two updates ago, it tells me ‘Enable your location to discover activities and groups nearby.’ every single time I open the app. I should not have to do this every single time. Fix it please
A solution to a problem that shouldn’t exist
This app is not very good. And the fact is it should be brilliant to take the place of an IN-GAME raid/party/host/join system that should already exist. Having multiple problems joining raids on this app… but I guess it’s better than nothing
Why bro
I entered my birthday and the app immediately kicked me rejected me and and says your are ineligible to use campfire. Anything I try dosent work.
Nul
