About
ScoreSynth is a sheet music reader and a practice planner in one. Read 300,000+ free scores, track your practice and goals, and send tasks and notes to your students — right on the bars they mean.
The library runs from Bach to Satie, piano to full orchestra, with separate parts where they exist.
ON THE STAND
• Your own music — scan paper scores with the built-in scanner, or import PDFs. They join your library and work offline.
• Offline library — add a score to Offline and it opens without internet: at rehearsal, in the hall, on the road.
• Setlists — put a concert or a service in order once, and play straight through.
• Annotations — pencil in fingerings, breath marks and cuts, right on the page.
• Listen — scores with MusicXML play, with the note and bar lit as they go.
• Hands-free — auto-scroll at your own pace, or Bluetooth page-turn pedals.
• Metronome and tuner — built into the reader.
PRACTICE AND PLAN
• Practice journal — your streak, minutes per day, a calendar and what you played.
• Goals — minutes a day, days a week, or learn a piece by a date.
• Tasks and notes — "bars 12–24, slower", tied to the score and the page; a tap opens the reader right there.
• Hand a task to someone — send it to a student or a bandmate; they accept it, and you see when it's done.
• Community — follow musicians, save their scores and message them.
• iPhone and iPad — made for an iPad on the stand, just as usable on an iPhone.
Free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
Part of the ScoreSynth ecosystem: arrange and edit scores on scoresynth.com — and everything you make is right here in the app, on your stand.

What's New in ScoreSynth
1.0.2
November 5, 2026
• Activity: your practice history, goals (minutes a day, days a week, a score learned by a date), tasks and notes, all in one place. • Hand a task to a student or a friend: they accept it, and you see when it's done. • Notes right on the page: mark the bars, tag people with @, and a shared note stays one note for both of you. • Comment mode: tap a spot or drag a frame round the bars you mean. • The note bar stays above the keyboard, and many small fixes.
