thought this app would be helpful for making homemade hot sauce. however contains no information beyond a heat rating. no flavor profiles, pictures to identify the peppers or anything actually useful. just blank pages. don’t waste your time or money. google searches are free

The app developer Patrick Arenson did an awesome job, estimating and compiling the spice level for a ton of different foods. I’ll definitely be using those especially when visiting Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants where I’m unfamiliar with the food and spice level. It even includes spice levels for things like candy and drinks. It’s pretty awesome!
