I have an IPhone 17 Pro Max, and a WiFi 7 router. Router and phone are set up for automatic bonding between the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. The Roku is plugged into the router. Sitting on my couch 5 meters from the router. Lag is pretty bad, but even worse, the frame rate is abysmal. I’m watching a video shot at 60 fps and it’s playing at 12. Looks of dropped frames. I read some reviews from four years ago about the sound not functioning and “we’re working on it.” It still doesn’t work.
I suppose it’s OK if you want to display static images, but that’s not what we want this for. I didn’t see any ads pop up on the remote screen so there’s that, but I also don’t see this being worth $10 (current price August 2026).
