Screwfix Porth
I’ve been using the Screwfix store in Porth for a few years now and Hayley, Dewi, Rhys, Alex and Dianne are absolutely fantastic! As are all the other guys and gals that work there. They always go above and beyond to ensure I get what I need to keep my Handyman business, “Handy Harris Handyman Services” going efficiently and ensure that they keep a good stock of what I use regularly. They are so friendly and helpful, I always use these guys when I can! 5 stars from me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Horrible in shop experience
I was asked for “ID” when I arrived as the items I had ordered were “over £200”. I did not have my wallet as I had selected and paid for all the items on my phone. I was told repeatedly that it says so on the text. It does not - it says “Please bring your payment method with you and check-in on the app or in-store.” ID - which I did not have is a driving licence or something. I did the entire transaction on my phone - so my payment method is my phone, I had my phone on me which had the confirmation emails and texts. Other major retailers manage to cope with providing this as evidence of purchase for items significantly in excess of £200. I think Screwfix need to modernise a bit. As for the woman in charge, repeatedly and patronisingly telling me I should have brought something and how it’s on the text in a condescending tone were not helpful. She also said I needed to wait while she served another customer even though it was her colleague who asked her a question, not me. I was not once asked to show my email or text confirmation or what other ID I had on my phone - just lectured at like a naughty schoolgirl in front of other customers. Won’t be returning.

I have extensive experience with Screwfix and I am proud to have dealt with them, especially their customer service in my city of Thumbray. They are very friendly and extremely helpful. However, I have some observations regarding the app; it is a bit slow, and I don't find it easy to return items through the app. It's very difficult compared to other apps, and there are no discounts like some other companies offer.

Essential to my renovation.
In doing a full property renovation in a relatively rural area, Screwfix continue to save my day on numerous occasions. That forgotten tool, additional material, or new ppe, Screwfix and the team at Honley help me every time.
New bad feature
The latest version of the Screwfix app is now impossible to use if you connect to the internet with a (secure) VPN service. You now have to turn off your secure VPN connection to connect and use the app. Not a good update in my opinion.
App Broken and doesn’t work
App doesn’t work just sits there with a blue screwfix screen and never loads, very frustrating when you have an order to collect and you can’t get on the app to say you are there to collect?
App. Fails to Open
The App. Has, once again started to hang on opening. I get frustrated with this and switch to the Toolstation App. Which has never failed to open.
Stuck on splash screen
Used to work and now it just gets stuck splash screen
Does what it says on the tin…
App is easy to use and orders processed quickly.

Love the fact I can order from home then check in and collect as soon as I walk in👍
Waste of time
The coin rewards you get for spending money, are not redeemable, as the App has no where to paste money off code. Really disappointing 🙄
