What's New in Scribla
1.3
August 31, 2026
Scribla on iPad. The tablet no longer shows a stretched phone: list on the left, content on the right, rotation either way. The keyboard measures itself against the window, not the screen, so keys stay a sane size in Split View, Slide Over and the floating layout. That also settles an old annoyance: you can park the app beside your mail, and the microphone no longer closes when you go off to type. Math stopped getting numbers wrong. "1,024 plus 5" used to answer "6.02"; in Spanish "1.923 menos 900" gave "−898.08". The thousands separator was read as a decimal point, and a plausible-looking wrong number went into your field. Thousands and decimals are now read and written the way your language writes them. Also in this version: "Two hundred fifty thousand" is no longer fifty thousand, and "subtract 5 from 20" gives 15 rather than minus fifteen. Percentages are phrased in your own language: "15% of 2,400", "20% de 300", "300 的 20%". AI mode understands follow-ups in Spanish and Chinese. Say "más corto" or "短一点" and the previous answer is rewritten, instead of being replaced by an answer to a new question. The labels are translated all the way through: the language-pack section, onboarding and the custom-app editor were still in English. On day one Scribla asks for microphone permission instead of reporting a refusal of something nobody requested. The word strip stays put even when the phrase scrolls past the edge of a narrow field.
