I like this app the most out of tens of news apps I tried.
Needs new update
Good app but I wish it was 24 seven news channel instead of just a couple of hours a day so for now I’m only giving it to stars I wish there could be a 24 seven news channel that would make it five stars for me nothing but news

When downloading it says current version is not compatible with my phone, and asks if I want the last compatible version? I say yes, it downloads, but freezes at the point asking me to pick 3 important things to me - no choices are shown and the app is non responsive. I really find it hard to believe your programmers want to limit your audience to only the most latest version 16 users. My version 15 phone isn’t that old. Offering to download an older version of your app is not working. You should write your app to NOT be incompatible with non version 16 like everyone else seems to be able to do.

What happened to “read” the news? I do not want to listen! I may be in a place where I can not listen, nor do I want to anyway. I will have to return to my previous news sources. Too bad Scripps.

Another one-star. Why so much old news. They still had top news stories about Florida and the coming hurricane which they posted yesterday, August 4. Today is August 5. Finding another news source for sure.

I used to watch but the first thing that their newscaster said and brought up was gun control after saying this isn’t political I have dealt with violence around the world it’s not the tool that they choose to use it’s about the psycho who commits the violence they need to be stopped and that’s not gonna happen if you keep slapping them on the wrist and letting them out of jail

Too Many Commercials
You don’t make people watch 30 seconds of advertising before every single story on TV. So why do you do it in your app? Life is too short to spend that much time watching commercials.
App is Trash
I watch Scripps on OTA TV and like it cause it shows more of what’s going on. Even if their slant is noticeable and their Temu versions of anchors. HOWEVER, the app is garbage. It fails to work on my Apple TV. It opens and then just stays in loading screen. I am forced to watch it on the unreliable Pluto TV. Or have to switch it to my junky OTA antenna.

Scripps has destroyed Newsy
I have been watching Newsy since it launch. It was my go to news source. New the recent up in it’s new form Scripps is HORRIBLE!! The navigation is difficult, there’re is now autoplay, commercials are everywhere and it ruins the experience of just listening to the news. Use Reuters instead. The app has gone from 5 star to no stars

I used to love this news app. However the new update includes a wave of ads that ruin the user experience entirely. Please allow option to skip ads after 5 seconds, limit the long ads, or allow option to pay to remove ads
Unbiased NEWS
When I want unbiased NEWS I turn to SCRIPPS first.
I found they report the news as it happens with no
bias overtones. I’m one who doesn’t need to have one certain news program on to function.
I find the political news is news not a “circus” event. The national

From favorite app to junk
This used to be my favorite news app if not to say my favorite app on all my devices. I would open it before work at lunch and in the evening. That is, until the app was updated this morning and is rendered useless. I no longer have a feed of trends that I can quickly go through to the segments of interest. Seems to be a messy mix between articles and video streams. This is so disappointing.

The app always opens on my watch list, but prepopulated with articles of the apps choice. But these are not articles I wish to watch. So what it’s going on? The first thing I have to do is to deleted all the unwanted articles to make room on my watchlist for articles that I wish to watch. What a mess.

Solid, but…
The coverage is fine. As long as it is unbiased, that’s all I want. I want facts, not opinions. The problem I have is that every single time I get a notification and want to read the article that the notification is addressing, it opens the article in a browser instead of in the Scripps app. It’s very annoying. It needs to direct to the app. It’s never worked for me.
