User reviews

Fun and effective

I like how this app forces me to be conscious of my screen time 24/7 without adding friction. There’s a lot of fluctuation each day but we’ve managed to keep it under 4hrs together so far. Would recommend giving it a go but make sure it’s with someone you actually care about lol

FAQ

How does Scrollmates help manage screen time?

Scrollmates creates a shared pool of minutes for apps you both want to use less. Every minute spent by one person reduces the shared pool, encouraging mutual reduction in usage.

What happens when the shared minute pool runs out in Scrollmates?

When the pool is low, apps on your block list are shielded by default. Accessing them requires a deliberate claim of up to fifteen minutes. Once empty, apps remain shut until the next reset, with breaches recorded.

Can I use Scrollmates alone?

Yes, Scrollmates offers a Solo mode that provides the same pool, phases, and journal features. You can pair up with a scrollmate when you are ready.

What is Hardcore Mode in Scrollmates?

Hardcore Mode removes the option to claim minutes past an empty pool or end the day early. A typed emergency of fifteen minutes is the only way in, and it's still recorded as a breach.

Does Scrollmates have ads?

No, Scrollmates does not contain advertisements. The app is free to use with optional subscription plans for enhanced features.

What are the subscription plans for Scrollmates?

Scrollmates offers 'Bond Monthly' at $5.99/month and 'Bond Annual' at $29.99/year. Both plans include a 14-day free trial.

How often is Scrollmates updated?

Scrollmates was last updated on September 14, 2026, with version 1.0. Further update frequency is not specified but typically depends on developer release cycles.

What devices does Scrollmates support?

Scrollmates is currently supported on iPhone devices. Compatibility with other platforms like Android or tablets is not mentioned.
