Hard to learn
I got this app to learn his step aerobics routines, but in his “tutorials” he’s moving way too fast and not doing enough reps for ppl to catch on. Very frustrating
Lots of technical issues
I’ve been having lots of technical issues with the app the last two months. There’s been issues with streaming the classes to my TV. Used to work fine two months ago, I believe there’s an issue with the app :(. I emailed Mecca’s team a week ago about this, but go no response! Disappointed because I love the classes! Not sure what I’m paying for if they can’t be streamed to a TV 🙃.

App doesn’t work
It will not let me buy the $9.99 package. It’s frustrating.
Paying for nothing
The application is broken, I am unable to access the content I paid for. Please fix, I’d love to support you but this bug appears to be a common issue from other reviews here on the App Store. With no easy way to contact customer service, this is a very frustrating experience.
AirPlay and casting really needs to be fixed
I really love this app. It works for me because I am in school full-time, but with the app I’m able to work out 4 o’clock in the morning with no problem. The only problem I have with this app is airplay has been messing up for the past couple of weeks. when I try to connect my iPad to the TV, it says the device is connected, but work out video is not displayed. I really want to continue using the app, but I may cancel if I’m not able to use the Airplay.

Unable to workout
Every time I go to view a video the system is not working. I’m paying for a program that I have been able to use
App does not work
The app does not work and I’ve logged in on every device to see why it doesn’t allow me to watch on a bigger device. Every time I log in it states “you cannot do the action from this device or web. Your last subscription has been done from IOS. Please use your IOS device.” So I changed devices again and subscribed again! But the app still does not work. Not sure what the issue is but I unsubscribed. I tried to reach out to stay down by ej instrgram through messages (DM) and then commented asking if I could get help with the app but the comment wasn’t there anymore when I checked. So I gave up on trying to fix the issue myself.

Great class - poor editing
I love this app and the instructor. Only things that are annoying is the front row girls who make sure they get in front of the camera and show their backside. It would be great to tell them to stay off their phones, quit trying to be cute and stay out the filming camera so we aren’t distracted and can see!

Scam - paid but access to nothing
I saw the company on instagram. I wasn’t comfortable putting my credit card on the website, so chose to find the app and pay with my Apple ID for security. (Feeling pretty sure of my choice now). I paid, but have access to nothing. Contacted the company a week ago and no response (for a monthly membership no less. So already at 1/4 of the membership with nothing). Since the « company » is not answering, I requested a refund from Apple, I hope they grant it.

Good material but overpriced.
The lowest tiered program is $9.99 and is a good deal if you enjoy their personalized classes since that's the only thing available. The second tier is $19.99 and the only difference from tier 1 is the addition of on-demand programs like their pregnancy/post-partum programs and workout videos. The third tier is $29.99 which is ridiculous since the only addition is a meal plan. The most this app should cost is $9.99. There are thousands of workout/meal structured apps and many free videos and guides all over YouTube and the internet. If you enjoy their classes and don’t want to pay $15 twice a week for them, then it’s a good app. If you want more than that, it is not.

I was very excited to download this app as I’ve been following them on Instagram for a long time now. But unfortunately I can’t access any of the videos and only the live streams.

I subscribed to the application in France and now I'm on vacation in Guadeloupe (French islands) and I have no access to any course! This is not normal, what was the point of using an application if you can't access it anywhere?!!?!?!?

The content seems great but the app doesn’t work
I’ve paid for a subscription but can’t access any of the content (only one live stream is available).

Airplay is not working from this app
**Update: Unfortunately I had to cancel my subscription because the casting issue was unresolved. After additional troubleshooting I found that the short workout videos cast fine however the classes do not. I assume it’s something within the backend settings of the class videos but I’m not an app developer so have no clue. I told the support team I’d love to rejoin once this issue is resolved so that I can participate in the classes. **
Is anyone else having trouble getting airplay/roku to connect using this app? Love the content but want to view on other devices larger than my phone. I can connect the old site to many devices and still have to rely on those old workouts. Haven’t been able to enjoy the workouts on the new app yet. My airplay/roku connection is working fine but stops as soon as I try to connect a vid in the app.

Poor video quality
The workouts are amazing. However they are not instruction led. The video quality is terrible. You sit through 10-15 minutes of just waiting for everyone to joint the class. Big need for editing and making the videos more professional quality.
Need casting
I love the workout last but really need the ability to cast to my smart tv.
Love but needs work
I have been doing Mecca and EJ’s classes for a year and a half and love them so much. I’m so proud of them for creating an app and like having the classes all in one place. I liked the website better though because you could save the videos to your Youtube ‘watch later’ list. I could cast the workout using chromecast, play on my Smart TV, and on my laptop. The only option I have right now is to use Airplay and the connection hasn’t been working well. The video will randomly stop playing multiple times while trying to do the classes. I hope the app improves with easier capabilities to stream on multiple devices.

Great app for any fitness level
I am fat, with chronic pain, and I have been able to do several workouts from this app, with some modifications. I don’t go full out like the people in class, but I am still able to follow along and get a really good workout. I love Mecca and EJ, they really make exercising a lot of fun!
